Stayed here years ago and our only complaint then was unfriendly staff so thought we would try it again. This has the potential to be a brilliant hotel with minimal effort but hey for now it’s just good. Check in was a disaster they took us in the golf cart to a room that maintenance were still working on! Came back to reception and then argued with the girl for 10 minutes to get the type of room we booked. She said there wasn’t one but after standing our ground she found one! Our driver was embarrassed and says check in is like this all the time. We had a pool view room. The rooms are excellent. Big comfy beds, loads of space and storage, huge bathroom with shower and big bath tub. Massive balcony with table and chairs. Housekeeping is excellent and the room is well equipped with bathrobes, fridge, kettle etc. We found the staff to be much friendlier this time except for the bar staff. The bar girl at the beach looked as if she wanted to kill us when we dared to order drinks at the bar and was so unfriendly. Disturbed her game on her phone clearly. The bar guys at the small pool swim up bar spent most of their time hiding at the back so no need to serve anyone. As a result we didn’t buy an other drinks at the bars and we would have. There is happy hour at each bar but you would never know- again a wasted opportunity. The pool areas are very nice and the pools are great and really clean. Pool staff are clearly lazy though as often towels, cups glasses etc sit for days without being moved. The sun has taken its toll and both areas are badly in need of a coat of paint- they looked brilliant when we were last here. Still great areas to sit and swim though. This hotel is in a fab location right in the thick of Ao Nang but still a quiet place to stay. For that reason, for the rooms and pools I would stay here again as its pretty reasonably priced. So frustrating though as with a little effort it could be so much better.

Ok lets start with the negative. Yes the property is a little tired but did it affect our holiday..... NO. We were upgraded to a luxury room and it was massive. The shower was not massively powerful but the water was hot. The room was cleaned daily with towels for room and beach/pool and 2 bottles of water were provided each day. The beach was lovely and there were sunbeds available on each visit. The breakfast was good, lots of choice including lovely fruit. The locations could not have been better. yes it could do with a bit of time and money spent to bring it back to a fully luxurious hotel however I would return in a heartbeat.

Absolutely amazing stay! Please ignore the bad reviews and see for yourself, I am so pleased we did, despite them making me nervous for months! Our friend Del assured us it was amazing and he was right. Over 20 of us have just returned to the UK from Krabi Resort following the most wonderful few weeks. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly, helpful and extremely efficient happy staff members. Our very good thai friend Del who works there ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. It was a very late arrival for our group booking and everything was ready for us and check in took 5 minutes! Our room was incredible with amazing sea views and felt very luxurious. One of the most spacious rooms we have ever stayed in. Our children loved it! It was immaculate, high end standard and cleaned each day by happy cheery staff who didn't miss a speck. Fresh new towels daily and fresh blue beach towels changed daily too which was a bonus. Breakfast was okay, quite a good selection and spacious dining area. The Omelette chef was the best part. The beach bar is so adorable and quirky with little swings to sit on and the bar staff are so efficient and we kept them on their toes making copious amounts of back to back cocktails which were delicious. The food menu was great too and the staff would come and find us on the beach when our order was ready to save us having to hang around and wait. Most of us agreed the resort Thai Green Curry was the best we had all holiday, and there were many! Security staff always greeted us with a smile and it was reassuring to know the resort was protected well and they checked on who we were. The pool was quite quiet which was a shame but the atmosphere did pick up as the weeks went on and the season got busier. The pool bar was open so we enjoyed many cocktails there too. This is a beachfront resort with a difference, there is wildlife and little pathways which make a great feature that you won't find elsewhere in an Ao Nang Hotel. It definitely has an island feel to it where you can spend your entire stay barefoot and really let your hair down with sand in your toes and sun on your face!
The staff booked our airport transfers and a few boat trips for us, everything was reliable and at a great price. Nothing was too much trouble.
2 rooms had aircon/water issues and a replacement room was offered immediately and with apologies and sincere genuine concern for our happiness during our stay.
The location is perfect and there are many bars and a 7/11 a few minutes walk away.
We will never forget our stay and will most certainly be back!
We have stayed in several Krabi 5 star hotels over the years and this was by far the most special experience in Ao Nang by far for being so unique.

We booked 2 rooms in Krabi resort last week and were travelling with family, my mom and daughter. Location of resort is nice and that’s what is tempting for most of us including me as I didn’t want my mother to walk long way to beach. Rooms are old and and dilapidated now with not much focus on maintenance. To take shower you need to step into a bath tub which is very dangerous for people as chances of slipping and getting hurt are very high. Wifi is very very patchy across the resort The phone wasn’t working in one of the rooms and other room there was no extension list pasted on the phone.
Now coming to service. One of the worst service experiences we had here. Housekeeping didn’t give water bottles in room for 2-3 hours despite repeated calls. Breakfast buffet is till 10am but by 945am dishes were over and Reynold the restaurant incharges refused to refill saying buffet is getting over and we should manage with whatever is available. Staff is very rude, I don’t know if this issue is faced only by Indians.
We could have overlooked poor room or issues if reception or restaurant staff was nicer but unfortunately they don’t know a thing about hospitality, which is a sham

My wife and I stayed here in 2018 and loved it then, so have come back again for the wife's birthday. This time in July so during the low season therefore so clear sky's not guaranteed, however we only had one day of rain and another afternoon of thunderstorms but the rest of our 5 days were brilliant. As it was low season we had the place almost to ourselves. The Resort sits right on the beach and so nice to have a beach with no sunbeds. brollies, parascending, jet skis etc Just the sand and the sound of the sea, BLISS The main drag of Ao Nang is just a walk out of the back of the Resort or a short walk along the beach, with numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Busyish but a lot smaller and not as crazy as say Phuket or Pattaya. This time we stayed in the Grand Luxury Garden View Room overlooking the jungle of the grounds with the limestone cliffs as a backdrop. Nice room with a 6ft wide bed and bathroom with sunken bath and a big balcony to sit and have a drink in the evening. The room was nice although decor and fittings looking a bit tired now. Although we note that they are working through all the rooms refitting them out. So should have a nice new feel again in the coming months. There are loads of boat trips to the various local islands such as Phi Phi, but we gave them a miss this time as the weather in July is unpredictable and we didn't want to risk getting stuck on a longtail boat in a thunderstorm an hour out from port. We have done them before and can recommend them if you're going in the better months Nov - Apr NOTE: We love Thailand that much we have now retired in Bangkok so going to Ao Nang out of season is cheap and only a stones throw away. So I wouldn't recommend coming from Europe out of season as flights would be pricy for such a gamble on the weather here.

We were very excited to stay at the Krabi resort as friends we were travelling with had stayed here before who couldn't recommend it enough and the pictures looked amazing.
We arrived at the hotel and the staff initially were helpful and showed us to our room, we had paid for the best room you could get and therefore were not prepared for what was to come. Outside the room the whole building needed a jetwash, it was dirty and looked abandoned (this was a common theme throughout the hotel). Inside the room the walls were thick with mold which caused a terrible smell, the room was dark, dirty and completely un inviting. The room also had no hot water. Along with the room being terrible the whole hotel followed this theme, the pool area was dirty with tiles falling off, the whole place was overgrown with weeds and furniture had been completely neglected and was covered in dirt and bugs.
We complained about the room (bare in mind i am a optimistic person and have never complained about a hotel). The staff were unapologetic and seemed like this was a regular occurrence and so didn't really care anymore. we were shown to a new room which was equally as terrible. It was completely neglected, all fixings in the room were broke, patio furniture moldy and dirty and again the room had no hot water. By this point we needed to go out for dinner so complained again on our way out and was told it would be sorted in the morning.
The next day we went for breakfast optimistic that today would be a better day, we were wrong. The breakfast was completely lacking options and the staff had already started removing breakfast items by 9:30am despite breakfast running until 10am. There was no orange juice left, no coffee, no thai food and barley anything else. 3 out of the 4 of us were not able to have anything so we had to head into the local town and get an alternative breakfast.
After breakfast we headed to reception to see if anything had been sorted which obviously it hadn't and we were told we had to wait. We headed out for our excursion for the day and when we got back we decided enough was enough and we wanted a refund and to move hotel. The woman at reception denied us a refund or even an upgrade and was so rude and un apologetic we were gob smacked. She said that thai people shower in cold water all the time so there was no problem.
By this point we had had enough so left the hotel without a refund as it was spoiling our holiday. We moved to Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi which was a cheaper hotel than Krabi resort but had the perfect stay in a hotel levels above the Krabi resort.
In summary this hotel has been completely left to rot and neglected during Covid, this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our 3 week trip to Thailand and was by far the worst!

We listened to the travel agent and booked this hotel for 7 days. We decided not to save money and take the Deluxe with a large bathroom and a beautiful view. Only the Car driver was adequate and always tried to help and solve problems). They just laughed among themselves when you came up with another problem. Very disgusting and not pleasant. Water is provided in the room strictly at the rate of 1 bottle 0.5 per person per day. We had to go to the reception every single day and ask for 1 more bottle of water, since there are 3 of us, not 2. The same situation with towels and pillows. The first night, the three of us slept on two pillows, they simply ignored us and that’s it. In general, the hotel is very old, the rooms are very old, they are cleaned very poorly, there is 2 cm of dust under the bed. The resort is located in the excellent location just between the two beaches with direct access to the beach.
Unfortunately the effort resort is run down and Donna have so many things that need fixing. You should be ashamed of charging the price you did with several rooms having no functional shower for a whole day with the staff not looking to care.
Felt like the staff is running the resort with no capable management on site. As asked to talk to the management we were told no management available at the resort.
