This Rest Camp is perfectly situated just before the Namibia / Botswana border. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Unit and it was spotless. The swimming pool was clean and a very nice welcome of the day's drive. We requested braai packs for the next day and it was very good value for money. Freshly made "Braai broodjies" and Potato salad together with the meat. The unit had aircons in both rooms and the beds and pillows are good quality. I will highly recommend the rest camp to overnight when traveling to or from Namibia via Botswana.

Other than the waiting times in getting served during dinner and breakfast, the overall service and facilities are above standard. The people are very friendly and always willing to assist. The small shop also ensure one is able to get the needed refreshments when needed. Will recommend the stay to any-one else.

We did the camping thing, so cannot say how the rooms itself are, but the grass is nice and green, the pool refreshing and the toilets are clean and tidy. We also had some well enjoyed rain the evening.

The only critic I can give was that the buns we bought from the shop was old, and travelling 8 hours for the day, we were slightly disappointed that our planned hot dogs did not go down as well as we hoped.

But otherwise, this is a very convenient and clean place to stay at. We are sound sleepers, so the outside noise did not bother us.

We arrived almost dark on a stormy night, after a wet and taxying road through Botswana. We were able to refuel at a very neat garage right next to East Gate Rest Camp. We received our key from the friendly manager on duty, and was directed to our unit by the night guard. Our unit was clean and comfortable, and the distance from neighboring units provide nice privacy. The restaurant was open up to 21:00, but we preferred to enjoy our own supper. Although there was no TV, it did not bother us at all. Other guests wrote reviews about the music from a close by shebeen, and the noise of trucks passing by during the night - although one could hear this from time to time, none of it was at such a level or frequency that it kept us from a good nights sleep (I sleep very lightly in any new venue).

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing and very accommodating to changes in our plans. Thank you Deon for going the extra mile for us!! It is the perfect stop over just before the Buitepos Border, allowing a one day travel through Botswana.

We were privileged enough to stay overnight at the hunting camp. Great facilities, beautiful location - it was amazing! Even though we slept in our own rooftop tents and did not make use of the available bungalows, we don't doubt for a moment that they would have been comfortable too. Hope to return for another visit soon.

Very handy stop just over the border in Namibia after travelling through Botswana all day. The chalet was comfortable for a family of four and there was a restaurant that served good food. There was also a shop and petrol station on site.

We stayed overnight en route back to South Africa. Although rather small the chalet is good quality and well maintained. Good value for the overnight stay. The facility has a small restaurant which serves excellent food. It was really tasty with friendly service.

The venue is close to local community and as we stayed over on a Saturday night the music was a a concern. Originally it was very loud but was luckily toned down from 20:00 onwards.

We cannot thank Izak and Deon enough for their exceptional customer service. Usually, we are coming across the border, rushed and in dire need of a good night's sleep and East Gate Rest Camp does exactly that. Decent food, plus convenience store and fuel on site. You can also camp here but the chalets were very nice, clean, good pillows, and clean showers and towels. It has everything you need. We highly recommend it and would happily visit again.

As an overnight stay. With heat soaring at 38Deg. We were told if you want a fan you have to pay double for a room. The rooms are equipped with 2 single beds and a table. The airflow is non existent.
I will not be using there services again.
