The hotel is a 4 stars hotel, but is far from being so. The room was big but outdated, needs renovation. So was the bathroom. The dinner was quit poor, a buffet but the selection was minimal and not teasty. The same I can say about the breakfast. Bad, very bad - from coffee, to pastry. Every thing seems not fresh. Regarding the bath - they are good, but needs an urgent renovation. The hotel staff hardly speaks English and it didn't make it easy to get around. One good point - excellent location, in the hart of the nature , quite and far from any village.
Have stayed here twice on business. Set right in the Jerte valley, stunning scenery all around, lovely grounds. Rooms are pretty basic, meals are good, service OK. However, apart from the Parador hotel in Plasencia itself, this is probably the next most expensive in the area, and it seems to cater primarily for older guests, much older! Most of whome seem to spend the day sat outside the bar. However it's always pretty well full so they seem to have tapped into a good market. You need to keep your eyes open to find the hotel as its well hidden from the road. One strange thing is the need to go to reception to change the room AC settings? I would stay here again.
Week ends are busy but very quiet week days. Environment very relaxing, little villages to visit, roman ruins, monastery, impressive landscape with hiking and walking routes. Food is good in general, well cooked. Spa a bit small.
The Jerte Valley is a leading cherry production area in the Iberian Peninsula. While it is a good destination in any season, there are three highlights every year: the blooming days of cherries (a couple of weeks at the end of March and beginning of April), the month of June when ripe cherries are harvestd from the trees and the landscape of falling leaves in autumn. This hotel enjoys an excellent location and beautiful natural surroundings. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The spa is good enough for those who find relax in this type of facilities despite the noise of water jets and motors. Best is to use as the hotel as a base for walks and excursions in the area. The worst part by far is the kitchen.
A nice hotel, in el valle del jerte (caceres) where we had the opportunity of visiting the cherry tree in flower. Hundest and hundred of them! realy nice! The hotel has a spa, that is nice but small. There were allowing visits in small groups to avoid having too many people there. The experince was peasant. People where welcoming. The restaurant is not veru good for a 4 start hotel. They have to improve on that side.
