The welcome was warm enough, the place clean but mysteriously no shower cubicle in our top floor room despite the bathroom being large. The bath was very narrow so an uncomfortable wash for a larger man such as myself. Dinner was home cooking rather than restaurant standard - passable. The Highlands are suffering from post Covid staff shortages and I feel this is the case at this hotel. wi-fi only on ground floor. Lovely setting but overpriced we felt.

Upon arrival, the last thing a guest wants to hear instead of a warm welcome is that the hotel is seriously understaffed. On top of this, there were no showers in the room (bath only), yellow tap water, thin walls so you can hear everything your loud neighbours talk about late at night and a disappointing evening meal which was just as overpriced as the room itself. Wake up guys, it’s not even the busy tourist season yet!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on 7th June 2021. We were greeted by the owners wife who told us they had no staff and her and her husband were trying to manage everything in the hotel themselves. Our first impressions were that we were going to be a hindrance to her. We booked an evening meal for 7.45. We sat in the dinning room and the husband served us our starter of soup. We had finished the soup and were still not offered a drink.....We eventually caught the wife and asked for drinks, but were greeted with a frosty look and it was clear our request was met with great inconveniance. We continued with our meal, my husband had steak pie and I had lamb and mint. Both meals were very poor standard and not pleasant. We stayed in room 12. Room was nice with lovely view of

Had a great stay. Very warm welcome, space to store our bikes, loads of delicious food in a beautiful dining room. Slept really well and the water flows through peat which is why it’s a yellowish tint. Thank you very much.

we had a great stay at Loch Maree last week. Warm welcome and the most beautiful place to stay. Room was very comfortable. The water is from natural springs and my hair has never been so soft. Thankyou for a lovely stay and we will be back.
