TRAVELLED WITH 2 SMALL KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 7. THE JUNGLE GYM IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR KIDS, INFACT ITS NOT EVEN SAFE FOR ADULTS. MY LO WAS ON THE MONKEY BARS WHICH ARE AMLOST 2.5METERES HIGH! THE BARS WERE LOOSE AND WOULD SWIVEL AS YOU MOVE TO THE NEXT BAR! SHE HAD A FALL, RUSHED TO HOSPITAL , UNDERWENT THEATER AND SUFFERED 2 BROKEN WRISTs DUE TO THE FALL. BOTH HANDS IN A CAST UP UNTIL THE ELBOWS FOR 6 WEEKS. AS A WARNING TO ALL PARENTS OUT THERE, DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN USE THE JUNGLE GYM. I must confess, sad that I have to vent on social media after being a loyal customer at THC and their resorts for over 20 years. It seems to me that there is a lack in serving existing clients and that the focus changed to instead continue selling new points, trying to get rid of existing clients, and then make a profit by reselling the same point stock again and again. Quite the scheme hey! My recent check in at Falcon Glen was horrible. This is not new, as THC is fully aware of this, I checked on Trip Advisor. Phoned your head office in Port Shepstone, an nobody even had the decency to contact me back, after being promised to do so. The representative from THC was quick to come and try to sell me additional points today, raising the issue he had no compassion, did not care, was not worried that we were considering cancelling our points at all, laughing that we only have 20 life points, contributing R12 000 per year in levies to your organisation. Sad. Sad. Sad. Seems that THC is not in client service and holidays anymore. Maybe it is time to move on and find an organisation that serves their customers and not themselves. What a values clash. The resort itself is great. The road a real problem, very !noisy! and disturbing!, the nature and surrounds beautiful, but the representative of THC and the check in put me off from this resort forever.…

I enjoyed my trip to Falcon Glen. The hot springs were amazing and I love the modern and airy feel of the rooms. The fittings seem new and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is beautiful. It was definitely very relaxing and it was nice to make a trip out to Joubert and Sons padstal to get all our fresh juices and fruit. However, I felt the service was a bit stilted and didn't feel as welcome as I'd like on a holiday. The minute we got there the facilities manager gave us a talking to outside reception about all the rules at the resort such as to not walk around with alcohol, don't have glass at the pools etc. All reasonable but it immediately made me feel unwelcome and I couldn't ever fully relax after this, worried that even my voice would be too loud and management would confront us. We had another couple joining us for one night in our four sleeper and security made them feel really unwelcome even though we informed them the day before, it's like they anticipated that we would already be trying something untoward like overloading. I'm all for implementing rules if you have done something wrong but to preempt this and make people already feel like criminals is not nice. As a resort your first priority is to provide a hospitable environment and everything else is secondary. Unfortunately I just didn't feel very welcome at Falcon Glen. Just another note that the resort is right next to the N4 highway so while it is a relaxing environment you can hear cars and trucks throughout the day. The putt putt course also definitely needs an upgrade but apart from that the facilities are well maintained.…

This was an amazing week of fun, relaxing and enjoying the area around Nelspruit. The units are big, super spacious and clean, set in stunning gardens and you can not forget the wonderful warm spring water swimming pools! I can not wait to go back! From our arrival at the gate we were met by a very well mannered, courteous and knowledgeable security person Simon, who made you feel welcome from the outset. On arrival at reception and met by Heila again trouble free and filled in on all the ins and outs of the resort and explained exactly where our chalet would be and how to get there and where the other amenities were situations and things to do. One of the things that stood out was how well maintained the gardens were and how well they were presented, so neat and tidy and a real garden of Eden. The bird life is lovely. I have to say that you feel relaxed from the gecko. The chalets are clean, and very neat and tidy, the cleaning people do a great job and the braai was cleaned daily. Jacques who I assume takes care of overseeing the garden, amenities and maintenance at the resort was very attentive and helpful and on the ball so kudos to him and his team. in fact to all the staff at the resort for making our stay very pleasant and hassle free. Yes, I've met Matron and Mrs Rottenmeyer, and any negative comments about this resort or its staff are unwarranted. This is the best kept resort I have ever visited. The units are "Clean to Max", the staff is efficient, helpfull and friendly. The unit is comfortable and modern and kitchen utencils of top quality. The grounds are excellently maintained and the gardens are very neat. The walking trails are cut open, which makes for a comfortable walk or jog for everyone. They are well marked and have a number of benches to rest. Do bring along some carrots and greens for the bunnies on the premises....they love being fed. We went to Falcon Glen 15-18 October 2021. We read the reviews (negative anfd positive) but we already booked. So we went - we decided to take it as it comes. As some of the other reviews indicate the moment we arrived our surprise started. Heila. Erika and Jacques went the extra mile to assist and make our stay pleasant. We did not have a lot of space for food (we traveled with motorcycles). Then came the next surprise! The team including Mike made arrangements for dinner every night we were there! Sorry to say but we never experienced any negativity. The rules are not unreasonable and there to make it pleasant for everyone - during the Covid pandemic it is to keep everyone safe! Thanks again. Erika du Toit, Heila, Jaques and Team, we value your extraordinary service, efficiency and caring. Let me explain. We had a 2 week annual leave at Falcon Glen between 17 September to 01 October 2021. We have been going to the resort for the last 18 years and can not explain in words how great and professional the resort and its team has been towards us. We'll start with the security guard, he greeted us friendly, did the Covid screening and with a big smile welcomed us. Reception was just as helpful by giving us a detailed overview of the resort and Covid rules then wished us a wonderful time. Erika even made contact with us as a courtesy to confirm that all is in order. Our cleaning team was just as courteous by confirming if we are comfortable with the time they plan on coming to clean the unit - great respect for privacy. The braai area was checked daily ensuring cleanliness. We can encourage any prospective holiday seeker who wants to relax, switch off and enjoy peace and quite to support Falcon Glen. We have been to various other resorts and NO WHERE have we experienced the hands-on approach we received at Falcon Glen. In actual fact we are planning on purchasing additional weeks. If you have teens don't go you will be disappointed. Way too many rules, kids can't turn their back then someone is on their case. Even security sends them to bed at 8:30 if they wonder around. Was a bad call for a b day weekend I won't ever go again.

Despite the resort being beautiful and the units lovely, the experience we had with Heidi's own "Mrs Rottenmeier" at reception, left us with a bitter taste in the mouth. Upon checkout we were told that we should have been out by 10 am already (it was 10:30) and we had 5 minutes to vacate the resort premises. We were feeding the bunnies, but we had to drop everything and leave! Very poor taste and we will never advise anyone to stay there.
