Mandy and her husband had done an excellent job on hosting. She pre-arranged a delicious homemade 3-course meal for us to have upon arrival. The room was spacious and homely with a lot of original features. She also shared a great deal of local tips. The breakfast was big enough to fuel our energy for the full day. In fact we did escape lunch because of that (!) The location cannot be better if you opt for a hike to Ben Hope. We highly recommend Altnaharra B&B to people travelling alongside NC500 route. Especially, if you stop at Ben Hope for a hiking adventure, this is the best base you can have. We cannot thank Mandy enough for making our stay so smooth and restful.

We had a lovely tranquil stay at Altnaharra B&B. The host Mandy is a very welcoming and friendly owner who provided us with tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. She also cooked us a great dinner and the breakfast the next morning was fab. Also the room is spacious and a great view of the surrounding Sutherland Highlands. I highly recommend this B&B.

Arrived at the BnB to a warm welcome from Mandy, we felt very welcome here and had a lovely twin room with fantastic views! Room was spacious and clean and surroundings were tranquil and peaceful. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and catering a hot breakfast for a vegetarian was made to be no problem at all. We hope to return one day!

A brilliant stay for 2 nights. Mandy and Lindsay were extremely welcoming. Our room had a wonderful view. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Great to chat to hosts about where to visit and local wildlife. Brilliant to see birds on feeders and deer across the road. Big sky, peace and quiet so beautiful. Excellent value for money. Thankyou. Kate and Rob

Mandy and Lindsay were very welcoming. We were cooked a 3 course dinner which was very welcome after a days travel. The room was large and comfortable and we had a fabulous view from our room. We should definitely stay again.
