Revisited after several years. Under new management thankfully. Restaurant has been refreshed. Bright and comfortably warm. Limited and uninspired menu...however what we ordered was good and served hot. Attentive service and a pleasant exchange with new owner. Looks promising...
I stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in Abergavenny and really enjoyed the experience.
The owners could not have been more helpful including ensuring we had some food on our arrival on Sunday evening despite them not officially doing food on a Sunday night....More
Lovely, friendly staff, relaxing environment by a cosy fire. Staff very attentive. Appears quite busy for lunch and hotel visits. Also has function room, lovely setting with fabulous views. Warm relaxing lounge area, very cosy.

A very warm welcome on arrival. A lovely, cosy bar with a wood burner. A real bonus on such a cold weekend! Very friendly management, we were made to feel at home. The rugby was on the big screen, just a shame about the result!!...More
