Our trip to RIU Paradise Island was a wonderfully delightful experience ! The beach was magnificent and the pool divine! The staff couldn’t be nicer and would always greet you with a pleasant smile. They went out of their way to help you. The hotel was very CLEAN and they took all safety protocols seriously. Drinks and food were readily available all day! Good variety and great service! Will be returning soon!

We almost cancelled because of the bad reviews. We came here expecting the worst. WE HAD A BLAST!! People need to stop complaining. Nothing that was complained about in all these reviews was a problem for us. The staff were all so nice. They’ll make drinks as strong as you want-ask for a double instead of complaining. The restaurants are crowded for the first seating but we like to eat later so getting in was never an issue. We loved the dinner buffet too. It was NOT the same as lunch either. The beach is beautiful and the people watching was crazy. We didn’t mind the music by the pool-it was fun. There was no mini bar but they do put beer in your fridge everyday. There’s no room service but who cares? There’s food all day so do people really need room service? It’s probably for the best. There was never a line for the coffee shop. It took us two seconds to get our covid test. We went right before they were closed and we were the only ones there. I really can’t figure out why people go on vacation if they’re going to be so miserable. Come here with a positive attitude and you’ll have a great trip.

I have one night left and felt compelled to write a review now rather than later. Hopefully, my honest review will help other travelers make an informed choice when looking for a resort in Nassau / Paradise Island. If you enjoy being treated rudely, served awful, watered down, cocktails and eating disgusting food this place is perfect for you! If not, save your money and book elsewhere! The absolute rudeness of the staff is unbearable. So much so, I asked a lady at the coffee shop if this resort is a bad place to work! The majority of the staff appear angry and irritated. It doesn’t matter how much you tip, service is the same - Awful!! Each day of my six (6) night, First Solo Vacation, I couldn’t wait to leave the resort. Once off property, I had an amazing time! The food is horrendous and truly not edible - No taste whatsoever. Half of the time, I did not receive anything to drink but water during my meals at the buffet - Zero Service. Waited in line to eat at the Steakhouse, it was much better than the buffet but not as one would expect. I ate mostly at Dunkin Donuts, Atlantis or Downtown Nassau (Last night I had a bag of Doritos)! This morning at the elevator, a gentleman was delivering room service. In absolute shock, I asked him if this service is available because at check-in I was told Room Service is not a possibility. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms could use updating. I had a lovely view of the Second Floor Roof and a small ocean view when I dangerously leaned over the balcony. Much different than the Ocean View Junior Suite booked on Travelocity. The front desk staff could not be more rude. Attempted to change a large bill this morning to groans and irritation. Honestly if you can avoid interacting with the front desk the better. In closing, this hotel is Not worth the money and there are so many places in Nassau that would love to have your business - This establishment is Not one of them!

Start to finish: -Thank you Mr.RL for a smooth check-in process and paying attention to detail. That is really good customer service. -The room was a good size, clean with traditional furniture. Traditional, like real wood and glass. My room had a furnished balcony. It was perfect for sunrise, sunset, sun bathing, etc. The fridge was restocked with beer, soda and water daily. -The wi-fi was strong enough and secure for me to work and attend meetings. -Breakfast is continental with a mix of pre-made and made-to-order items. There is also a cafè with lattes light fare. The baristas are really good. The lunch and snack is also good served buffet style. The pool area has a jerk station during the same lunch time. Its really good. If you eat outdoors beware of birds that will commandeer your plate. The dinner is wonderful! Krystal was my favorite restaurant; contemporary European. Kulinarium and the buffet are also very good. Honestly, I did not have a bad meal the entire week. The dinner restaurants are first come first served, so you may end up waiting. That is not the best way to vacay, standing in a line, so be prepared. The Calypso lounge is really fun with different events and themes every night. There are also large TVs where you can watch sports. -The pools are great. The larger pool has activities during the day. Such as yoga, pool games and music. DJ Tao is very good and plays are good mix of music. He also takes requests! There are lounge chairs all around with shades. Thank you Ms. Shaniqua for the great service at the pool each day. The infinity pool is closer to the ocean, is heated, and also is a swim up bar with cocktail tables. Very cool. -The beach is beautiful and very clean. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided. There is also a volleyball net. -I did not make it to the gym or spa, but I plan to return.
