We just got back from a week at Sandyport, and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for! It was my husband and I and our two young children. The room was perfect for us - kitchen area that we used for breakfast and snack time and such. Living room with a pull-out couch where the kids slept, and then a large bedroom. Balcony. 1.5 bathrooms. A giant tub. Just as pictured. The amenities across the resort were also great. Nice pools, bay side beach, a gorgeous private ocean side beach with chairs and umbrellas, hammocks everywhere. We watched the eagle rays come up the canal. Sandyport has everything you need - restaurants, coffee, ice cream, etc. And the lab to do our COVID tests was right there too. The staff was super friendly and helpful - they arranged our airport pick up and drop off. We took the bus to downtown nassau one day, which was super easy. Overall, a super relaxing, stress-free stay away from a ton of crowds, which was just what we had wanted.

Hotel's Favourite
We spent a lovely two weeks at Sandyport Resort. What I loved most about it was how quiet and peaceful it was. No angling for lounge chairs around the pool, no loud water volleyball games, no loud music being played on speakers. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful. If I wanted activity, I could take trips to other resorts, or go downtown. We did take the city bus to the zoo, with everyone on the bus calling out directions to the zoo once we disembarked. (A wonderful little zoo with matching pink flamingos and take rainbow-colored parrots.) I would go there again in a minute.

Just mediocre. My husband and I came here for a weekend trip, and I feel like there are nicer places to stay for the price we paid. The resort could use a renovation, as it seems a little dated. Also, we tried to get an early check in as we arrived at 11:00, and we agreed to pay for it, however our room was not ready until 4:00. They kept telling us to come back in 30 minutes to an hour and it would be ready, however each time we came back it was not. That was very frustrating, they should have been up front about it. And people checked in after us and got their room right away. On the plus side the resort was pretty quiet, if you are looking for something unlike the huge resorts. It was a quick walk to the beach, however there are a very limited amount of beach chairs and umbrellas. It wasn’t horrible, but I won’t be back.

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room. Our upstairs neighbors were the worst.

Wifi will not work well in rooms, and the showers are very small (might get clogged also). Other than that, amazing beach access, quiet and relaxing (not loud and busy like other resorts), walking distance to delicious restaurants and coffee shops, only 8 min from airport.

We loved our vacation and could not recommend it anymore. Lady Sarah was amazing and very attentive to us. The location is not on the ocean but rather on the harbor which is very calm and relaxing. We cannot wait to return.
