Great party spot with all you could need for a few days of vacation, including an all inclusive option, live music, friendly staff, pool bar and fitness center. The rooms, however, are old and the resort feels small. The showers are less than ideal and desperatelyneed an update. It is easy to meet other guests arou d the resort though - the social atmosphere is one of the best. The largest advantage this resort has (in my opinion) is the variety of activities it offers both on land and in the water. Some are complimentary and some have a fee. The catamaran excursions were one of my favorite experiences of this trip! The crew (Charles, Toni and Dalton) are incredible. They are knowledgeable, friendly and fun, and they made our time at the resort/on the water unforgettable. We would return just to cruise with them again :)

We stayed at Bolongo Bay May 3-13, and we had the best time ever. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the food was AMAZING. For couples, it is the best place to stay. We met some incredible people, as well as made some incredible experiences. We would 10/10 go back and stay at Bolongo!

We booked this resort through Travelocity and paid $448 a night. AT MOST, this is a $200 a night resort. It is dirty, run down, and mold-filled. The beach stinks, it full of sharp rocks and shells, and coated in sea-grass. It definitely sustained some pretty bad hurricane damage from Irma & Maria. Their way of fixing it? Paint and patch over it. There isn’t much to do besides sit at the bar or swim in the dirty pool. The only redeeming factor is the staff (minus the night front desk lady)- they are LOVELY. I feel super bad for them because they have to deal with all the fallout of a poorly kept resort. So much potential, but this place needs to be deep cleaned, fixed, and updated.

We had a nice time but would not go back or recommend this resort. The food was good but service was awful - slow, rude, indifferent. There were a few servers who were great but the majority were not. The “high speed internet” was nonexistent in the room. Our last day they decided to put out a breakfast buffet instead of the normal menu which was disappointing seeing as we paid for the all inclusive package which included to menu meals not the sad buffet they provided. While the rooms were dated it did have everything we needed and a beautiful beach view and patio. Heavenly Days sail excursions were wonderful and that staff was kind.

Does not look like the pictures, very dated. Showers are tiny. Hot water does not work. Beach is not nice at all. Rocks everywhere. Right next to an abandoned building. Booked it for 4 nights but only stayed 1 and left as soon as we could the next day. Staff is not friendly. Way too expensive for what you get. Would not recommend to anyone
