We’ve been staying here for 2 weeks. I get my wife coffee every morning, even though I’ve had to wait for up to an hour for it. The place is small, which is understood. We are on island time, which is understood. But we are paying $$$$$$$ for coffee and other highly marked up stuff in the store. The owner could at least be somewhat nice. I showed up today early so I didn’t have to wait for as long. It was 6:58AM and the door was open. I didn’t see the sign still said closed. The owner comes in from behind me and was nothing less than rude. I apologized that I didn’t see the closed sign he referenced when he snapped at me. I went out, knowing I interrupted his schedule. When he opened, 5 minutes later, there was no pleasant conversation. “What do you want?”. I ordered, he set down a cup and walked away. I hope he enjoys the profit he made on the $200 I spent in the last 2 weeks, because he will not see me again. The guy has a lock on the location. He can charge about whatever he wants. He has to be making an absolute killing. The least he can do is be civil. If you think I’m the “complaining type”, please read some of my other reviews. This was second negative review I’ve ever posted.

The bartenders at the Sapphire Beach Resort are extremely snooty and rude. They seem to want to be ANYWHERE else than waiting on customers/ tourists. I guess she found it annoying to be asked questions about good places to eat, but we had never been to St Thomas before.

The condo is dated but it has everything you need. The location is right on the beach and has a stunning view. It is a $7 cab fare (7 min drive) to Red Hook and the Ferry to St. John. The pool is huge and overlooks the jetty. Absolutely beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.

I had a recent stay in April. The condo was nice and the beach was very nice. Our issue was that there seemed to be no way to control a bad situation. Perhaps as these are individually owned units then it’s up to each owner to pre screen or advise their guests to be respectful of others in the other units. We had neighbors next door that had big smoking and drinking parties 3 nights in a row who so that we couldn’t sleep. There are many condo units in this group so with multiple people partying all day and night it is an issue. The neighbors are separated by a wood screen on each side of the porch which doesn’t block any noise or smoke. I think the owners need to specify banning any smoking -not just cigarette. I am sure that to some extent this excessive behavior has a bit to do with Covid escape release yet without controls I wouldn’t recommend going to this resort if you are looking for a restful vacation.

I really hate to leave a bad review for this resort but this must be said, especially given the amount of money I paid through Airbnb. The host of the Airbnb name is Bianca. A few things: cleanliness was not up to par and didn't feel sanitized at all. The sheets on the pull out beds were dirty with makeup stains on it. Other previous guests' items were left behind. The drainage for both showers were stopped up, creating damn near a poo in the shower upstairs. It was so bad once the plumbers came, the water leaked into the bathroom stairs bathroom, getting on personal items that were on top of sink and washer/dryer. The kitchen stover was locked the whole time we were there, so we couldn't cook. And the dryer lock is very pesty, it takes forever to unlock once you have clothes in it. Also one last thing, three of my friends experienced harassment from one of the beach workers who was reasonable for renting beach chairs. The worker was very aggressive, started to record my friends, and flicked one of them off. I believe the name of that company is Dive In. Would definitely revisit St Thomas, just won't be staying there again. Would much rather stay in a hotel.
