Charming hotel nestled in the cliffside overlooking Charlotte Amalie. We stayed here just one night. Highs: the view, bed comfort (we had two rooms and both couples noted how comfortable the beds were), the service. Lows: (not really a "low" but not a high either): hotel is a little worn. The servers in the restaurant, the person helping to get you parked out front, and especially the breakfast server in the a.m. were all very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast server especially. She seemed genuinely excited that people were returning to St. Thomas. It was in a relatively quiet area, too, so one could go on a walk up the mountain in the a.m.
My husband and I stayed here because I read a lot of the reviews and many people mentioned how it had the most beautiful view of the island; they were right! This boutique is located up in the mountains overlooking the island and city. Our room was okay looking but, very clean....again you come here for the view and it’s located in a place to connect more to the locals. The GM, George and assistant manger, Elizabeth were super friendly and helpful. They helped answer all our questions about places to go around St. Thomas, they were even kind enough on our first night at the hotel to take us to this restaurant after hour called Sib’s on the Mountain so we could get dinner. They really help to make our trip even more enjoyable. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and had breakfast there, the food was really good. I recommended this hotel only for adults and taking taxi service around the islands, this made it easier for us to get around and less scary for us to drive in the mountains. Make sure to ask George about the Kelvin the taxi driver...this is who drove us around each day and he was great!…
My husband and I, both bartenders from NYC, needed a few days away and this was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Great views and delicious breakfasts Pool was great, however the pool bar never opened, so we drove to the Pueblo Supermarket to stock up on drinks and snacks Renting a car is a necessity as cabs can take a while and there isn't anything in walking distance Great beaches and restaurants are a fun drive all around the island. Take a day to ferry over to Water Island and hang at Honeymoon beach and Dinghys bar Old Stone Farmhouse and French Quarter Bistro were our favorite dinner experiences. Gladys Cafe is great for a true Caribbean lunch Mountain Top is definitely a tourist attraction but the banana daiquiri is delicious and the views are incredible so its worth the drive up Loved our quick vacation…
If you’re just looking for a gorgeous view from the pool deck, this is great, but the room was VERY disappointing. Super soft bed where hubby and I rolled into each other all evening. Light in bathroom was a pull chain over the sink. Two bath towels, two wash cloths but no shower mat or conditioner. Dark room. just a disappointment for the $289/night. On the other hand, the bar and restaurant were beautiful and the food and drinks were amazing. Don’t stay, just eat and drink!
We stayed for one night, before boarding a charter boat trip. The room was okay - small and fine for a night. We grabbed a beer at the front office and sat out by the pool for a bit, which did have a very beautiful view. It is elevated and overlooks town and the water. The restaurant and bar are closed and I don't think there are too many nearby restaurants that you can walk to. The lady at the front desk was very nice!
