Fantastic trip at Bohio resort. I was picked up from the airport and taken to Bohio by van. My room had a very nice view of the ocean. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Kayaks and bikes available to use and are included. The food was fantastic. Every morning, coffee is self serve in the lobby/bar area. They have live music several nights a week and it was really enjoyable. It seems to be the place that people go on the island for live entertainment. The diving...two dives a day from small skiff with surface interval at the resort. Sites were no more than 15min(max) from departure. The dives were exceptional. The divemasters(DJ and Jason) were very friendly and helpful(10/10 for both). I wish there was some briefing on not touching the coral as many divers did. Tough position for divemasters though as these are paying customers. Please don't touch corals people. They don't let you touch the paintings in museums. Treat corals the same way so they stay around longer. I loved staying at Bohio and highly recommend anyone to go stay and dive there. I miss it already.…
We thoroghly enjoyed our stay at the resort. The dive boat is moored right on sight. The satff is very friendly and the owners equally friendly and helpful. The diving was very easy and very enjoyable. The boat returned to the resort after the first dive so we could spend our surface interval on land. I really liked that. The food was good. The only criticism is that the rooms are a little too spartan for my tastes.
We had a wonderful 8 days at Bohio. All the glowing reviews are spot on. The diving was some of the best we’ve had in many years. Always sharks and turtles and barracuda. plenty of fish. Beautiful wall. Lots of healthy soft coral. 5-10 minutes on calm water to dive sites. Frog fish, squid and a seahorse. FOUR octopus on the night dive. Hobie Wave sailing in the afternoons. 6 people on our dive boat. We saw One other small dive boat ONCE. Dive master DJ was really great. Food was enough for 2 at each meal. Service was warm and friendly. Beach and pool and outdoor bar were all perfect. A++ Can’t wait to come back.
My girlfriend and I made our first trip to Grand Turk and are so glad we chose to stay at Bohio. Tom & Ginny greeted us upon arrival and the check-in process went seamlessly. The location is small with only 16 rooms, but this is our preferred style of property. Being smaller in capacity, it has a very quaint feel and after the first day it's easy to know not only the staff, but the other guests on a first name basis. Overall it's a wonderful laid back vibe - "Just Breathe" is the resort motto and it's a great way to summarize the experience at Bohio. If you're looking for a busy resort with lots of glitzy amenities, you're probably better off staying in Providenciales or even Grand Cayman. If you want to forget where you put your shoes because you haven't worn them all week, this is the place for you. The property is very tastefully appointed and the food was excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. The Ike & Donkey Bar is the best on the island and the beach is spectacular. We went to dive and made at least two dives every day - the dive staff (DJ and Pablo on our trip) is excellent and the dive boats are nice and well maintained. The dive sites are so close (5-10 minutes from shore) that we returned to the resort for our surface intervals, which was great. The diving is epic - the wall in Grand Turk is unlike anything we have seen in the Caribbean and the reef is healthy with lots of life. We even saw our first Great Hammerhead! Having traveled and dived the Caribbean extensively, the litmus test for a resort & location is "would we go back?" The answer in this case is absolutely yes, we can't wait to return and see all of our Bohio friends again. Thanks Tom & Ginny, great job!…
Having just returned from a most memorable week at Bohio Dive Resort, I felt compelled to write this review. Owners Ginny and Tom were welcoming and attentive throughout our entire stay and were quick to respond to our many questions prior to arriving at the resort. The resort itself is quite comfortable and the rooms are literally just a few footsteps from the beautiful sandy beach. We stayed at the corner beachfront room (#5) which had a balcony with the most amazing views of the sea. The dive operation is world class - DJ and Pablo ensured an excellent and safe experience throughout the week. They managed all of our gear - changed tanks, washed gear, etc and took us to a different dive location each day. The dive sites are a short 5-10 minute boat ride from the hotel. Surface intervals (~30 mins) were done back at the hotel after the first dive - so much more comfortable than staying on the boat. One of the big advantages that this resort provides is that it can cater to both divers and non-divers alike. The beautiful sandy beach and turquoise sea provide the most perfect recipe for anyone looking to disconnect and relax. The Guanahani Restaurant is excellent. Breakfast and lunch were included in our package. We chose to eat all of our meals at the restaurant except for one when we ventured to a local spot just a few minutes away. I will provide a separate review in Tripadvisor for the restaurant. Thank you Ginny, Tom, and Scott for a wonderful trip. We look forward to visiting with you once again - this time we will bring friends with us!…
