This trip was my second time staying at The Brix, I'd try them in June of 2023 and was delighted by the level of service across the board so, I decided to stay with them for the Carnival season and this time was no different. Niels (General Manager) & the entire team does a fantastic job with guest relations and creating a boutique experience. The housekeeping team is excellent, I had the pleasure of meeting Chenise (Room Attendant) she took care of me my entire trip in the most detailed and pleasant way possible with a lovely smile and genuine personality. Everyone I interacted with: Front Desk Staff, Bellmen, Restaurant Servers & Hostess, Rooftop Bartenders, Room Service, Security, Overnight team, Management, Housekeeping were all excellent, displayed a high level of professionalism and quality customer service.
If you choose to stay during the Carnival season, it is the perfect location for convenience to lots of restaurants, shopping, Carnival activities & fetes (parties). The fetes I attended took place in the Queens Park Savannah or nearby so, I was able to walk to those events or take a short taxi ride - a third party service provided by the hotel at an additional cost which, is also excellent the drivers are so efficient and professional, please take advantage of this service during the Carnival season because it was very difficult to get rides on TTRS, Travee, and AllRidi.
Should you choose to stay during the Carnival season you won't be disappointed there is something for everyone, the pool is a tranquil space although, not for me I'm more a night guy so, the rooftop was more my activity and always a vibe, the rooms are very quiet even if a fete is happening nearby, the room features are modern, high-tech and spacious, lastly the cafe on the lobby floor is the perfect place for sobering snacks which, you will need after trying to keep up with Trini's drinking haha.
This is truly my new home away from home. Thank you all for everything, I can't wait to be back. See you soon !!!

My husband and I spent our Anniversary at this fine establishment. We were greeted by friendly staff who made us comfortable immediately. We were escorted to our room by a very professional young man. Our room was clean, modern, comfortable and spacious. We were given a hand written congratulatory note along with some delicious chocolate chip/craisins/cereal based cookies. At dinner that night we were surprised by a cake courtesy the hotel. A special thanks is to be offered to our servers Jonathon and Sandra. Also the night supervisor Stephen and a very pleasant young lady who welcomes you into the restaurant with a radiant smile. This hotel also boasts a beautiful local art collection which is for sale. The downstairs Cafe offers a number of delicacies which I thought would be especially great for foreigners and to others to be given as gifts/ tokens of appreciation. I loved the local touch with the (patios local french creole) names of the chocolates on offer. Their are also books at the cafe that highlights our local history through architecture, culture, birds, waterfalls etc. The buffet breakfast is excellent. All staff are ready and willing to assist guests. The gym is not huge, but has all the machines for the athletic and non athletic and is opened 24 hours. The pool is not extremely deep 4 - 5 feet and is fit for all to use. The roof top lounge offers excellent views of the capital or the Cascade Hills. I would recommend this hotel to both foreign and local guest, old and young as their is something for everyone.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Brix, Autograph Collection, located in the heart of Savannah, Trinidad. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and were attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Many of our family members came to visit, and for the most part, the hotel was accommodating. The views from the rooftop were absolutely stunning and, in the evenings, the area became a lively hub for socializing. The hotel’s central location was convenient, close to St. James and the city center, with good access to transportation, although traffic in Trinidad can be quite congested.
That said, there were a few issues during our stay. Despite booking two rooms, they were not placed together, which was a bit frustrating. Even more disappointing was the disrespectful behaviour of some guests we had to pass by on our way to our rooms. Our two-bedroom suite was not as clean as expected—there were stains on the floors and walls, hair in the bathroom, and the sheets were not fresh. We had to request additional cleaning. Unfortunately, this level of cleanliness seemed to align with typical Marriott standards, which didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Well, when we arrived and Otis welcomed us to the hotel with his smile and a great vibe, the standard was set. Mark Anthony checked us in and upgraded us to a room with a better view than the back of the Hilton and it was well worth asking for the upgrade!
The last name I'll drop is Keneisha at the front desk, I have to shout her out because she also had a great vibe that stood out early in the morning. There was one more person I wanted to shout out, but I can't remember her name. All of the front desk staff were extremely helpful .
The hotel was very modern (in my opinion) and the only issue with our room that is really a non-issue, is that there were no drawers for clothes, instead you can use the shelves in the closet and that was simply new to me. My family and I don't travel that much, so this visit was the first time I had to call room service to deliver Ice and not be able to fetch it myself. This leads me to the fridges, they are quite small and match the room's aesthetic. Don't think that you can store many leftovers in the fridge/cooler.
The staff on the whole were all very responsive and friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant, all great. Speaking of the restaurant, the breakfast was really, really good, especially because it included local food like Tomato and Baigan Choka (I still think about that food!) I can't stand to travel to places like the Caribbean, then only have pizza, pasta...)
The pool was great for older kids, especially because it's only about 4 feet deep. The gym was also great, minimal, and to the point. Almost forgot, soooo, the rooftop, is simply all that! Take the kids in the day and hopefully, the adults can go at night; it's a lounge at night and a lot of adult fun.
The most significant issue we encountered was outside the hotel, crossing the street, to get to the Savannah is almost impossible during rush hour and very difficult after/before rush hour. I can't imagine why there are no traffic lights and crosswalks at such a major intersection. Please, be very, very careful crossing the street if you choose to walk to the Savannah, which you should absolutely do because there are far too many cars in Port-of-Spain.
Make sure to schedule a tour of the Island with a company like Island Experience early in your stay, so that you don't rush to see the island like us in the last 2 days. Jenny picked us up at The Brix and took us to Las Cuevas. Essentially, get out and tour early, we regretted not going on food and nature tours.

Welcoming Kind Attentive but lacking in warmth and confidence Although fixed upon request, room not ready upon arrival. Without correct number of towels, toiletries, and complimentary tea stations items but at least clean. Also, breakfast could do with wooden spoons instead of metal in the yogurt and kefir. The bread products could be moved from under the air condition blower - the covering kitchen towels were not enough to keep it from drying out. Came across as lack of insight on meal presentation. Lowered confidence. Car park rules seem disproportionately over cautious. Overall not bad experience but better experience with neighbouring hotels. The staff try very hard to help.

Nice big spacious room, shower room is broada than broadway, can get 4 easy in the shower 😜
The rooms have 110volt and the 2 thin plugs, most things are dual voltage, so no issues, see the 4 way gang I used for laptop, watch and few other things to charge.
Staff friendly, polite and helpful, no attitude or I don’t wanna be here vibes…😉
Pool area is lovely to just relax and chill -weather permitting
Da Brekkie – wicked👏 – get included in yer rate if you can. 1st round – Fruits, juices, turkey slices, yogurt,etc 2nd round- Coffee, Scrambled eggs, or you can get omelette freshly made as you like, or 2-3 fried eggs freshly made (Not the rubber you get under the lamps) Saltfish, plantain, turkey sausages, beans, swine if your thing, and more – Can also ask for eggs freshly poached –
Me first time in Trinidad, so few lessons learnt – if you get a street taxi, you’ll pay TT$6 to get to town which is less than £1 – if you get taxi from hotel, you’ll be charged US rate, a lot more, bear this in mind……….Also if the street taxi come off the street, i.e. up ramp to outside hotel, than that is more expensive, dunno how much, as we asked to be dropped at road corner…😎
The Brix also has a small, but clean and functional gym, I used almost every morning, good start, before brekkie....
Why not 5 star – had evening meals twice at Brix, 1st time we all agreed could have been better, so decided to give one more try, 2nd time same….
Plenty places to eat, you must go Queens Park Savannah Strip, weather permitting, whole heap of different fresh food stalls…..Keke roast fish, lovely…
If you want entertainment, but in a lazy mode, go to the roof restaurantar, nice for chill, dance, social intercourse, cocktails, etc.

We’ve met Lovely Nekeisha at the Merchant Coffee Bar at the Brix Hotel on a rainy yet sunny Friday.
Thanks to her refreshing personality and her gracious smile she was able to uplift our spirits.
She ended up serving us a cleansing energizing smoothie known as Citrus Sunrise and an ice cold fresh Stag.
We were amused by her exciting conversation while witnessing the gorgeous view of the outside pool.
This was simply the perfect cool down after an extravagant carnival in Trinidad.
Well definitely come back. 10 out of 10.

This hotel was the best I have been to. The staff was very courteous, drinks were given upon arrival and they even upgraded our room because we had to wait for the rooms to be cleaned. I work in hotels and used to work for Marriott and I am confident saying that my experience exceeded my expectations. I was returning borrowed beach towels to the front desk when I encountered Mandy in the elevator. She offered to return the towels for me and when I thanked her but declined since I had other questions for the front desk, she immediately offered to help me arrange transportation to the airport for a very early morning flight and even enlisted the help of her coworker Isaiah. Both Isaiah and Mandy work in the food and beverage department but were eager to assist me anyway. Besides that outstanding encounter, the hotel was clean, pleasant, conveniently located, and the rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming. We also had a great meal at The Exchange restaurant and great drinks at the rooftop lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My experience at the BRIX Hotel in Trinidad was underwhelming. The location left much to be desired—nowhere near the beach—The food offered was limited Breakfast, in particular, was one of the worst I’ve ever had, really disappointing.
The rooms, were clean and stylish, with comfortable beds and quality linens. The staff were dour, though two friendly team members stood out.
The pool area was modern and visually appealing, but it got very little sunlight. On a positive note, the Sunset Bar had a nice vibe, the music was far too loud to relax.
I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

However, we regret that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations, including the location, breakfast, and the pool area.
