When my daughter decided to get married on the Grenadine Island of Bequia, quarantine restrictions of 48 hours were in place. Young Island was designated a "Quarantine Hotel", so we decided to spend 2 nights there, taking the largest room with a pool in which to quarantine. We had read the food was delicious there so made sure we had all our meals included. The quarantine was lifted a few months after we booked; however, after much previous research, we couldn't imagine not staying there. And, the decision was the right one. Corresponding with Bianca was easy and prompt. We were picked up quickly at the dock by one of their boats and taken over on a very short boat ride to Young Island. Rum punch on arrival ;) And wow, it was a strong one. James, the bar tender makes some crazy, different, fresh drinks and we spent a fair amount of time with him in the open air bar. Our room was a fair hike pretty much straight up to the Duvernette Suite. We are regular hikers, so the steep climb did not bother us much. However, if this is an issue for some, there is a shuttle that can take you up and down. There is a small kitchen, a secure open air shower, a lovely small pool with incredible views and 2 bedrooms in this suite. We loved the setting for the meals. Each group has their own, open air cabana with attentive, amazing staff. The breads are offered at most meals - the banana, coconut and cinnamon are ones not to pass up. Some meals were buffet while others were sit down. Kayaks were available to use and it was fun to putter around in those. Or lounging by the pool or on the beach was relaxing as well. Overall service was efficient but not overbearing. The entire staff was always willing to help anyone on all levels. Looking forward to visiting this hidden gem again.

Young Island Resort provided the wedding of our dreams, with special thanks to the talent, patience and skill of General Manager Bianca Porter. All of the food is excellent, especially their signature breads, the best meals we had in our 3 weeks in the Grenadines area. Young Island is exotic and elegant, without loosing it's quaint charm. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the cottages are pretty and spacious, including outdoor showers, hammocks, even private swimming pools! The staff is friendly and professional. We've been all over the world, and this was our second visit to Young Island, we can't wait to go back.

We and 4 friends had booked a two night stay here prior to our bareboat charter. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a stressful travel day. One couple didn’t make it on time, and they were very accommodating about refunding the night. Food was great, rooms were upgraded with small pools. Just lovely. We took the kayaks across and around. Our second time. We will be back! was our secon

I really like this place despite the fact the rooms are a bit tired and need a make over! The highlight is the restaurant...no buffet 🙈 and everything cooked to order from a menu...and good! The ladies there are very stylish..and very friendly! Also it isn't a single restaurant but a series of small covered outdoor areas...very different! There is a small beach which is kept pretty spotless by the gardens team! And a pretty good pool! The rooms are all single buildings I think and the few high ones need some climbing but are really breezy! Great for sleeping...some have there own small pools Young Island is a chilled 2/3 day entry and exit stop between the airport and wherever your ferry is taking you...definately go!

We knew little about Young Island only what we read on Tripadvisor We decided to stay 5 nights at the start of our holiday before going on to Bequia. What a good move! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and recommend this hotel strongly. The staff were without exception absolutely delightful and determined to be as helpful as possible. Our one room cottage (27) had a great view and a large comfortable bed. No frills but all we required except it could have had more lighting. We were on an all inclusive package which we strongly recommend as being on an island there is nowhere else to eat. There is a hotel ferry which transports one on and off the island some 200 yards distant from the mainland. The food was excellent with several choices for each course and no one could say they were scrimping likewise with the complimentary drinks! We ate under thatched open sided cabanas. The Sandy beach is perfect and there’s a charming well kept pool which we generally had all to ourselves. We were not disturbed by noise from the mainland at night although there’s a busy coastal road and inevitably there is some traffic noise mainly in the rush hour but not an issue for us. There’s a well maintained tennis court but otherwise not much scope for exercise apart from climbing the steps to our room which we asked to be away from the sea with a view as stated. Our sincere thanks go to Bianca and her great team for giving us an amazing stay.

I truly had the most overpriced below average meal on Young Island. Salad advertised with lettuce, tomatoes and vinaigrette dressing instead I got some bush on my plate, no dressing and I guess tomatoes were not available that day. Overcooked fish instead of grilled…so ofter not eating most of my meal, I was given a pretty hefty bill. I don’t mind paying for good food but, this food was not even worth paying for. I will never go there again, even if invited, overpriced food, outdated decor.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at Young Island Resort for 3 days prior to chartering a catamaran to sail the grenadines. Upon arrival we received the warmest greeting and every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Bianca, the General Manager was so charming and accommodating! Always stopping by our table at a meal to say hello and ask how we were enjoying the island. We chose the all-inclusive option and feasted on fantastic food! Every meal was delicious and had huge portions. I started asking for half portions because I could not eat it all. Their homemade breads are excellent, coconut, cinnamon, banana, they were so good I ordered two loaves to take on our sailing trip! The cocktails were great too! We loved the trails, walking around the island and experiencing the spectacular views! The snorkeling around sunset point was good and the reef very healthy! We loved the beach, and our villa was magnificent! Right on the water, we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean and arose to the gentle lap of the waves. We had a small private plunge pool, and the large resort pool was right outside our door. Every single aspect of our stay was idyllic. We highly recommend visiting Young Island Resort! We have travelled the Caribbean extensively and this is by far one of our favorite places!

My wife and I stayed at Young Island resort in early December 2021. We booked it in this unfortunate time of Covid as a safe option - because it is on an island served by the hotels own small boat, it isn’t subject to lots of passing visitors. At the same time it is easy to pop over to the mainland any time you like. Bianca the General Manager and her staff were just outstanding! Nothing was too much to ask. Due to a delay on our flight from London we nearly missed our connecting flight to St Vincent. Bianca arranged for someone from the St Vincent tourist board to meet us in Barbados airport and steer us rapidly through customs, etc, to get us on our flight. Our luggage got left behind at the airport in Barbados and Bianca organised to get it delivered to the hotel. Just brilliant service Food was great and highly varied: steak, lobster, chicken as well as local specialities like goat. Also the banana bread which I became addicted to (much to the amusement of the restaurant staff). We were on the full board package and never felt bored with the options available. Bar staff were attentive without being intrusive and the bar area was comfortable Everyone was super friendly, just too many nice people working there to shout out all the names. The room was great. Very comfortable. Loved the outside shower. Our cottage had its own plunge pool. I recommend that option if it’s available The place is just great. What more can I say?

I spent three days here with my fiancé and his family. We loved it. We stayed in three cottages each equipped with its own private dipping pool. I was impressed by the accommodations. Very clean and island modern- there were outlets for both US and European devices- didn’t need a converter coming from the US. The showers were nice and large. Well functioning toilet. Comfortable beds. Powerful AC but also enough netted windows to just enjoy the breeze (tho some mosquitoes slipped through so bring bug spray if you like the windows open and for sitting outside- I’ve returned with quite a few bites). The private pools were better than most- a little dated in appearance but very deep, medium sized and throughly cleaned (we saw this in action). The beds were very comfortable. The rooms are large with seating area separate from sleeping area and a small kitchenette. The grounds are gorgeous. We mostly stayed in the pool and on the beach. It’s a small stretch of beach but clear water and sand. Not as beautiful as the beaches on the grenadines but still good beach They have kayaks but didn’t have a guide so we stayed away from that. I hope as tourism picks back up there will be more guided activities. They also have snorkeling equipment which we did use. The pool is massive and clean. Lots of fun had there. Also a tennis court that looked like it was in good shape though we were too lazy to test it out. We chose the all inclusive dining plan and had breakfast lunch and dinner each day. It’s a lot of food. You’ve been warned. The food was overall very good- the last night we had exquisite lobster. If this is an option, get it. I was impressed that there was no up charge for the lobster. Also the French toast is delicious and fun to eat (order it and you’ll see why!). I got tired of local salmon as the fish of the day but it was fresh and is likely someone’s cup of tea! As for COViD protocols, they were excellent. All of the employees wore masks at all times (covering mouth and nose) even outside and reminded us to put ours on when we were slacking (and even provided us with extras). The tables are spaced apart and the dining is outside and covered. Plenty of space to social distance throughout the resort. We felt like we could safely enjoy our vacation. Overall, I highly recommend spending at least a couple of nights here during your next trip to SVG. We were very pleased and the customer service was excellent. Will definitely return.
