Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation.

This is a truly wonderful hotel in a superb location, consistently delivering exceptional service standards across all of its customer-facing activities. Food and drink standards were very high indeed in all three of its restaurant venues and - in addition to the range of complimentary activities (including snorkelling, kayaking and plantation walks) - it was easy to book additional trips via the concierge desk. We would particularly recommend the Thursday evening sunset / jazz cruise for its wonderful Caribbean vibe and spectacular views of the pitons.

All staff friendly and could answer any question asked. They added personal touches and surprises every other day! Excursions and resort facilities were fantastic. Enough choice of water sports plus snorkelling areas on site. Also, did jungle biking in their onsite rainforest which was great. Organised 2 excursions outside the resort which I would recommend. Hiked Pitons and went zip lining. Food was fantastic with plenty of choices. Beach is clean. Sea calm and warm. Plenty of beach chairs with shade. Not busy on any day. Room spacious, clean and wonderful views of the pitons.

My wife and I had a truly memorable and delightful stay at your resort. Your people were very kind and friendly. Whenever we made an email enquiry leading up to our stay, we got a prompt, informative and helpful response- well done! The dining was outstanding. The beaches were great. The snorkeling just offshore gave us the opportunity to see all kinds of coral and marine life. We had delightful views from our suite's balcony! We are already planning a return visit!

This resort is excellent, in location, design and the general ambience. The rooms which are huge, are set out up a hillside, therefore you have to be prepared to climb lots of steps, and if you are coming up from the beach, you can add another 100 or so, but it's worth it. There is a shuttle service if you need it. The staff are friendly and prepared to go the extra mile if necessary. My husband had a slight accident , scuffing his leg whilst getting off the boat from Anse Mamim, and the staff could not have been more caring. Indeed the hotel manager came to see him the following day to check that he was ok, which he was. Definitely recommend the beach at Anse Mamim, and don't miss out on the beefburgers, the best I've ever had. Also highly recommend the complementary guided tour round the plantation with Meno who is very knowledgeable and entertaining. He also does a birding guided tour which is very good. We took the All Inclusive option which is the best way to go, the resort is expensive but you get what you pay for.

My wife and I spent a perfect week at Anse Chastanet, our 4th visit since the first in 2009. There was a misunderstanding when we arrived about the type of room we had booked, but management went the extra mile and upgraded us to a gorgeous room with a view of the Pitons. Anse Chastanet is a perfect place to enjoy the tropical outdoors. I spent every minute enjoying the best swimming I've ever done, hiking, kayaking, walking the two beaches, exploring the rain forest behind extraordinary Anse Mamin, the resort's second, undeveloped beach. In between, there was plenty of time for lovely meals and just staring at all the beautiful views. The staff throughout makes every effort to make guests feel at home. Only complaint is the number of excursion boats from other resorts and cruise ships dropping off too many day trippers. We will likely be back for a fifth visit. There's no place like it in the Caribbean.

Anse Chastanet is the best resort experience! From the outstanding location, clean and comfortable rooms, to the magnificent views, this resort is amazing. Every meal was excellent, especially the vegan menu. But the best feature of Anse Chastanet is the wonderful staff, with their cheerful dispositions, sincere greetings and big, happy smiles. We also love the community and sustainable aspects of this resort. Another very important benefit of Anse Chastanet is the excellent dive operation and the dive staff who operate it. We will definitely return! Thanks for a great vacation.

From start to finish the whole experience at Anse Chastanet was perfect, the amazing staff, (nothing was too much trouble), they actually go above and beyond to please, the setting, the wonderful food, different restaurants to choose from, we loved the tree house, the evening entertainment - fabulous musicians, our room in the trees was a delight, (12D) very comfy big bed, could hear footsteps from the house above but it wasn’t a problem and at least it wasn’t a tv booming out, loved the sound of nature with no tv to be heard anywhere, the beach and snorkelling great, saw amazing fish and turtles, good offer of excursions, we loved the jazzy sunset cruise, beach attendants are there for your every need, bringing drinks, food, cold flannels, there are a lot of steps down to beach or up to rooms at top of hill, but this isn’t an issue as you can call a shuttle service anytime and they are there in minutes, we had lunch at Jade Mountain which was just a little extra on the all inclusive plan, special thanks to manager Monica, Orion our regular driver, Marilyn our server, but really everyone and everything was top notch and sunshine! Can’t wait to go back

Anse Chastanet a stunning location, a home away from home and an amazing, romantic destination to explore the best of what St Lucia has to offer. Right on the doorstep of the Pitons, snorkeling for free to see an under water world of 100s of different fish species and of course the awesome sea turtles! Paddleboarding, sea kayaking, tennis and a beach service available so you can sit back and enjoy! What more can you want?
