We stayed at Church Street Guest House for 10 nights and it exceeded all of our expectations. Comfortable bed, quiet and efficient air conditioning, fast, reliable internet, close to the shops, restaurants and beaches, useful kitchenette and cooking utensils, clean and mosquito free. What was better than all of this was Sabrina our hostess. She is simply the best! She greeted us with cold beers and a welcoming smile. From that moment on she was happy and available to arrange tours, taxis and give us local recommendations. She cooked us a complementary St Lucian breakfast on our first morning and presented us with delicious local fruit from her trees. What a star! Thank you, Sabrina!

We stayed for two weeks at Church St. Guest house. We stayed in the Wild Cherry room, which they gave us after the first night because I had booked another room. Sabrina welcomed us with the best Mango we ever tasted. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. It is in the center of town so if you want a real St. Lucian experience I recommend this location.

We stayed at the Church St Guest House at the end of a trip through Grenada, the Grenadines, and St. Vincent. Climbed Gross Piton and toured the island. Church St. Guest House was our house for the trip. Wonderful!

The guesthouse is very centrally located in Soufriere and I used it as a great base to walk around or take the bus to the attractions. Sabrina was very hospitable and made sure I was well looked after. As it was very quiet I was upgraded to a very spacious room with kitchenette, very comfortable and decorated in gorgeous colours. Can highly recommend staying here as your base to explore the south of St Lucia.

Church Street Guest House is in the center of Soufriere, which is a very picturesque town, but also very basic. In general better for a day visit than a longer stay, and more South/Central America than Caribbean paradise (unless you really spend lots lots of money...)

To start with the positive, our room was nicely furnished with a small kitchenette we used to make breakfast. We had an own bathroom, a bit basic, and overall it was clean.
The star of the guesthouse was Jessica, who took care of everything: when the power went out while my husband standing soaped under the shower, giving us recommendations where to go, arranging for a very good and reliable driver, Bradley (excellent!), and trying all she could to make the stay as good as possible. Thanks so much for that!!

The area around the house was so-so, and especially on the first day (Friday) it was so noisy in the village with awfully loud rap music until 4 a.m., that we hardly could sleep. This, and the price - which was reasonable for St. Lucia but overpriced when compared to other parts in the world - and most likely also our wrong expectation, as we expected a smooth and trouble-free and quiet holiday, does not allow a rating higher than 3.

Nothing was too much trouble for Jessica and her mum Sabrina. I booked 21 nights in a single but was upgraded on arrival to a very large locally carved four poster bed with mattress topper plus a fully equipped kitchenette. I am 65 and a solo traveller and everyone was so good to me-always checking if they could do any more for me. This was my first Caribbean trip but after making so many friends it won’t be my last. The guest house is literally 5 minutes from the waterfront. Everything is within walking distance. The locals are all friendly and happy. This really is ‘Paradise’ island.

I stayed here from May 31st to June 6th. It is right in the middle of Soufriere and ideal for a solo traveller looking to explore the region and interact with the locals. Boats, minibuses, and taxis are all easily accessed. The rooms are clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and have good amenities, while the wifi is good. What really won me over, though, was how helpful and friendly the owners are. Sabrina and her family provided me with plenty of information regarding local attractions/point of interest, were always willing to answer any questions I had, and gave me many useful tips/suggestions about navigating day-to-day-life in the town (e.g. places to eat, events, fair prices, Creole words/phrases). The service I received surpassed all expectations. I highly recommend this place, especially for travellers who are looking for a more holistic/authentic Caribbean experience but might feel hesitant to stay outside the familiar confines of a resort.

I had an amazing stay at Church Street Guest House. It is literally the best spot to discover St Lucia with an ideal location in the heart of Soufrière close to the Pitons and a comfortable, modern and clean room to relax after an exploring day. Moreover Sabrina the host is a real ambasador of St Lucia. She will share with you all the things you need to know and activities you can do, to make the best of your trip in St Lucia. I fully recommend!!

Couple of other options, Sugar Beach to the south and Anse Chastanet to the north. There are men in motor boats at Soufriere pier who can take you there. Both beaches have high end hotels, snorkeling at Chastanet is amazing. Ask about $ and details at Church St. Guest, she'll know. One warning about Hummingbird, although it is an easy walk and the water is beautiful the locals don't treat the beach with much respect.
