We just stayed a week here and it was our 2nd Sandals resort. There were some staff members who made our trip truly special and will always have a place in our hearts. Clive and Kimone were an outstanding pair for Club Sandals, they surprised us with a wonderful anniversary gift (chocolate cake) and decorated our room. Clive went above and beyond everyday to find us, check on us, make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. I wish we could take him home he felt like family by the end of our stay. If you are lucky enough to meet him please say hello for us! Leo in watersports was the same, we saw him so many times everyday and he always wanted to hear about our adventures and he made great recommendations on what else to try. Watersports was the equivalent of the entertainment staff for us. They made us laugh and have fun everyday and really spent time getting to know us. We loved seeing and chatting with them everyday. Terry Ann at Sundowner was the best service at any of the restaurants, we went on our 2nd to last night and if we could do it all over I would eat there every night just to see her. She was creative, kind and fun. Alot of servers treated us as an incontinence there because there were 4 of us, we don't drink and we eat alot. She insisted on surprising us with new fun non alcoholic beverages we never had to ask for another She brought extra food for us to try and it was the best night.

This is our first visit to Beaches Negril. It is a gorgeous resort with A+ service. We are also very pleased with Covid protocols in place- we feel very safe here. We’ve met many employees and they have made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We’re looking forward to meeting back up with Camille and Willie in the Loyalty Travel department tomorrow to rebook for 2022. It was a pleasure chatting with them tonight!

This year was our family and friends second time going to Beaches Negril together and we had a wonderful experience yet again! We arrived at the concierge lounge to be greeted by the friendly face of Chavel who was with Beaches Negril Concierge last year! She has us all checked in and shown to our rooms shortly after arrival! Chavel was wonderful working with our group for dinner reservations and the spa! She went out of her way to book my spa appointment which allowed me to spend more time on the beach instead of making arrangements myself and then tracking me down to make sure the timing worked. She has wonderful patience and costumer service. We really appreciated her and her efforts! The housekeeping staff was phenomenal. It seemed as though they worked 24/7. They kept our room stocked with towels and tissues which with a toddler we seem to go through both very fast! They realized we had a little one still in diapers and I am pretty sure they emptied our trash every time we left the room and it meant a lot to us (we did place diaper in sanity bags but still it was wonderful not to have a trash full of diapers). The cleaning services are top notch and the turn down service was so nice and definitely adds an element of relaxation to the vacation. We enjoyed all of our dining experiences! Again, we saw many familiar and welcoming faces from 2020 this year including Roy at the mill, Hyacinth at Mariachis, and many others! Everyone made us feel like we were the only patron there and provided great service. Priya has an impeccable memory, I barely remembered our room number but she remembered our room number, how many people were in our party and that we had another group of people (our friends) and was able to quickly accommodate both parties merging at any given meal! If you are worried about food allergies or restrictions the Beaches team had you covered! They ask about allergies and any dietary accommodations and will have you meet with a professional on their dining team to ensure you have no issues on vacation. The Mill is hands down our favorite place to dine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as it has something for everyone and is always presented in such a delicious and inviting way. I really appreciate how the dining associates will grab your plate and serve everyone at the buffet to reduce how many hands are touching handles. There is hand sanitizer attached to the entryways of the restaurants and at the entryway to the buffet at the mill. I applaud the dining associates for wearing their masks during all services and the majority of the patrons wore their masks into the buffet area which was certainly appreciated given the current Pandemic. The bartenders are wonderful and quick! Our favorites were O’Shane and Steven who kept our little one (23 month old) stocked with cold water plastic tumblers and all the ice her heart desired while at the swim up pool bar! Our kiddo is obsessed with brooms and wanted to “help” Steven sweep/mop while at the pool bar and Steven was a trooper and made our kiddos day by allowing her to touch his Blue Broom (this helped avoid a toddler meltdown for which we are forever grateful)! I cannot speak highly enough of the Kids Kamp and al the staff! Our daughter was 13 month old when we went last year and she loved a the Kids Kamp, she even remembered it 10 months later. Our second day on property our kiddo was over us and demanded “kids” we asked if she meant she wanted to go to the Kids Camp and she was ecstatic to go! Each morning we barely got through breakfast before our little one was asking if it was Kids Camp time. She loved doing activity over there. We loved that we could take her over there and she could nap there too so we could enjoy the beach and pool while she napped! PollyAnna is definitely the best part of Beaches Negril for our family! Our daughter took her first steps with PollyAnna in 2020 and she hasn’t stopped talking about her since! This year 2021 we were so happy that PollyAnna the best Nanny was there! Every night we hired PollyAnna to spend the evening with our little one so my husband and I were able to enjoy dinner without a screaming toddler! Also, PollyAnna has the biggest heart and is the kindest lady we have ever met! Our daughter couldn’t wait for the evening she would spend with PollyAnna! PollyAnna made sure our little one did not miss a single show! It was wonderful to see our little one dancing and interacting at all of the shows because of PollyAnna! I cannot speak highly enough of PollyAnna she truly made our family vacation the best vacation! Knowing our kiddo would be in the hands of PollyAnna in the evenings we were able to relax and decompress! Best decision ever higher PollyAnna for the week! If you are worried about COVID during your trip and you are from the states let me assure you they get an A+++ from this healthcare professional with their precautions and procedures! Masks are worn in establishments that are indoors unless while eating. There is hand sanitizer available at every turn throughout the resort. The associates are phenomenal and wear their masks inside and outside at all times. There were no issues with services or entertainment! The pools are nice and the playmakers and entertainment staff are great at getting the kids and adults out and about and participating in all the fun! The adults and kids in our group loved the water slides, splash pads, pool and beach! I cannot recommend Beaches Negril enough! We booked on-site for next year and look very forward to our next trip! We had so much fun this past 7 days we booked for 10 days for our next trip! Don’t forget to go see Coidette and Willie at the loyalty desk to rebook for next year while on property! Coidette had the patience of a saint after booking us for our return trip and then we decided we needed to book the trip for additional days! She was very accommodating and more than willing to help us! Beaches Negril is a fabulous experience and I highly recommend it!

Our week here was fun and mostly safe, but for the price I suspect there are better resorts. I'll start with the scuba diving, which was sub-par mainly due to safety issues. Pros: - Unlimited diving (means 2 tanks/day, possibly 3 on some days) and gear built into resort price - Really nice dive boat with easy entry from shore and short boat rides to the reef - They ignore non-students. This is both a pro and a con. I like being left alone (me and my buddy) and setting up our own gear, but see below. Cons: - Heavy upselling of courses - Lame dive sites. Not sure if this is a Jamaica-wide problem or just they didn't want to take us to interesting sites. Much less fauna than other Caribbean dives I've done (~80 dives) - Dive briefings woefully inadequate or skipped. I had to specifically ask about depths and plan and only found out who was leading my group after we were in the water. I have never experienced this irresponsible a practice in a resort dive op. - No roll call. Jeez, I hope they counted heads. I brought my own whistle and safety sausage on every dive because I didn't trust these guys to pick me up. - Impersonal. I only learned the names of staff by overhearing them. Not a big deal for me, but this is poor training in customer service. - Dives turned early. I finished my dives with 1200 to 1900 (!) PSI because inexperienced divers sucked down their air fast. There was no provision for grouping divers by experience, giving steel tanks to heavy breathers, or leaving one of the DMs to give a subgroup of divers extra bottom time. The resort was otherwise hit or miss. In some restaurants the staff were friendly and efficient. In others the service was well below resort standards, so we planned every meal around which restaurant or bar had the good people working there. Quality and variety of food were good, but not as good as resorts that describe themselves as "gourmet" all-inclusive. It was bit hard to eat healthy, especially if you're trying to limit sugar, but there was a lot of fresh fruit available. Our kids lived on pizza, patties, french fries, and froyo. The pools were crowded on some days but we managed well. The beach is really lovely and well kept, bigger and better than most other resorts I saw in Negril from running up and down the beach. The beach cabanas are a nice treat, but overpriced, especially when you can just go early and get chaise lounge chairs in the shade for free. Lots of free water sports and beach/pool activities. Waterskiing was a special treat. Can be a bit competitive if a lot of people want to do the same activity at the same time. Water slides surprisingly fun even for adults. We skipped the evening entertainment but I overheard others raving about it. Pool table and foosball tables useful for rainy afternoons. (We spent hours playing pool volleyball in the rain). Room was comfortable and clean, but not luxurious or well designed. The bathroom had a large sink and closet area with no place to change in privacy. The toilet/shower did have a door that closed, but it was not well sealed from the outside, relying on the open window for ventilation so it was uncomfortably hot and humid. The concierge service was not good. They were overwhelmed and understaffed so you would get a different person each time you went for assistance. Sometimes it was the one very experienced, friendly, manager type and sometimes it was a clueless person they pulled in from another department. It was a requirement to go through concierge to reserve dinner at two of the restaurants or use certain amenities like beach cabanas. We enjoyed our stay and maybe we'd come again if we were planning to go to Negril, but I would probably choose a different resort and different Caribbean destination next time, partly because of diving.

Hello and thank you for sharing your review of Beaches Negril. While we are delighted to know there were highlights of your stay in which you enjoyed, it is disheartening to see that there may have been some areas that you were not completely satisfied with. We thank you for bringing to our attention your feelings about the dive protocols and how you believe it could be bettered. We would be relaying your comments to the on property dive shop for review. In relation to the concierges, we do apologize if you felt like your experience was not one hundred percent reflective of the true Sandals and Beaches experience and your feedback relating to this would also be relayed to resort management so that this area of our service can be put under the microscope. It is our hope that you would permit the positive aspects of your stay to outweigh any dismay you may have felt as we would truly appreciate an opportunity to regain our high standing with you during a future stay at another one of our resorts.

Jamaica stole our hearts again. Beaches Negril had something for everyone in our family. From breakfast with the Seasame Characters or skiing over cryclear turquoise water. The food was fabulous and staff made everyone feel comfortable. 7 mile beach rock!
