My family and I stayed at Coral Cay (for the second time) this past July, and we had a marvelous time.
The newly renovated villas are so lovely and stylish, the food was delicious, and Ms. Barbara, Patrick and the entire staff were simply amazing. They took care of us like we were family and we thank them and cannot wait to return.
We loved Coral Cay and the service so much, we have referred friends who will be going them shortly.
Is there anything higher than EXCELLENT here? Huh Tripadvisor? Coral Cay deserves it all.
What a dream. Went to Coral Cay to celebrate a friends wedding. It was so Magical we stayed there 4 days and the wedding took place there as well. The staff was super friendly and took great care of us. I can't wait to go back!!!!!
Coral Cay villas were perfect for our large group. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, we were right on the water (as well as a pool and hot tub!) and there was plenty of room for the guys to play football. One of the best views for watching the sunrise and sunset of the whole trip were at the villa from the bedrooms.
From the moment we arrived at the villa to the moment we left the staff was absolutely exceptional. Everyone was so kind, willing to offer advice, and helpful. The food was both authentic and delicious, and every meal was perfect!! Ms. Barbara was an absolute delight, always making sure we have everything we need to eat, drink, and just making sure everyone has what they need. Even though we were a large group the staff was able to keep every part of the villa clean and together every day without any issues. Even the security team was helpful with questions and were always keeping the villa secure. We will definitely be back. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!! Five-star service, staff, and food!
Awesome place, the whole place looks like paradise and from what we have seen on siquijor on the best beach! The bungalows are really nice, we loved the place and would definitely recommend it to everyone going to siquijor. The food is a bit overpriced but you can take a tricycle to local eateries nearby. Don't go to siquijor for a party time but for a really relaxed experience on a beautiful island, with not too many tourist and lovely people. Besides siquijor we went to Bohol, Samar island, Palawan and coron as well. Every island has its unique atmosphere.
I stayed at Coral Cay just a few weeks ago for 5 days. The grounds are amazing!! The sound of the ocean is very calming and pictures will not do this slice of heaven justice. My family members all loved the property and they ranged from 6-66.
The food was good too...the chef prepared different specialtilies from curried goat to oxtail to cornmeal porridge to fried chicken. Definitely no complaints there.
The staff on the other hand leave a lot to be desired. They were very unfriendly at first, I am considering if this is because my family and I are locals...When we first got there, the sat quite uninterested in the fact that we had arrived. I had to ask them if that was how they welcomed guests. Upon entering the villa there is a hump at the entrance and my car is very low and I had a difficult time navigating my way in. The bottom of the car continuously scraped the hump whilst the staff sat and looked at me. It was not until my brother came to offer assistance as to how I should position the vehicle to get in that a gentleman approached us. There was no one to show us the property/rooms when we arrived. We went ahead and looked around and selected our rooms. There was no explanation as to where anything was or the fact that the towel room is closed after certain hours. They also had the cutest little puppies on property. We were not informed of this before hand. They were cute but they messed in the yard. I first knew that dogs were on property because I saw the mess on the lawn.
The staff remained at a distance for most of the trip. Other members of the party also complained that they were very unfriendly. And at times felt as if they were in their way and waited until they were finished in a particular area before going in for example the kitchen.
They were also seen eating from the food that was prepared for us before they served it to us. Closer to the end of the period, they got a little friendlier even offering smiles at one point.
Upon leaving, again....no warm salutations from staff, with the exception of one. The lady who was incahrge of the house could not come out front to wish me well, she stayed from her room window to shout down to me.
I am not sure if the staff was new, but I doubt it as some of them have been working there for over 15 years. I was told that the staff would be one thing I would love about the property. This was actually not so. This is what I enjoyed least about the property.
The picture of the rroms look a little outdated on the site. But they are much better in person and a nice decor as well.
Yes go visit the beautiful property and have a good time!! Maybe if you are forgeiners the staff will be a lot nicer to you!!!
