Avoid the Palladium Travel Club at all costs! From the moment that we checked in, the sales reps hounded us. They approach you at check-in and ask if you would like a tour of the property to orient you to the property. Sound harmless but don't be misled. Our tour turned into a five-hour nightmare. Instead of being taken on a tour of the property, we were led into a salesroom. They wasted a day of our vacation and then offered a 30-minute massage for our inconvenience. We did not eat the whole day and even though I complained of not feeling well, they refused to bring me back to the hotel. I awoke today with a severe migraine headache and instead of being on the beach, I am in a hotel bed throwing up. and writing this review. Furthermore, my daughter has a severe allergy to milk. We clearly made it known to the staff. However, she was unknowingly given dairy. At 3 am in the morning, she called our room to say that she couldn't breathe. Instead of offering her medical care, room service argued with her and said she should have removed the cheese. Luckily, we had an EpiPen but my daughter was really upset. The next day at one of the restaurants, they gave her dairy again. My daughter ended up eating soup for most of her meals. They offered her a 30 minutes massage for almost killing her twice. We spent a day trying to calm her down instead of enjoying our vacation. We have three more days left here. Hopefully, my daughter will survive the stay. I am trying to get migraine medications so that I can get out of bed. Just paid $40 for migraine medication. Hopefully, I will get it today! We have asked to speak with the general manager but he has not contacted us. We are in rooms 5248 and 5040. If the manager is interested in speaking with us. If you don't want to ruin your vacation, don't be conned into a tour of the property or a special breakfast. Pros: Check-in was smooth and quick Lobby bartenders are excellent! Great specialty drinks in the lobby bar. The other bars are good too. The staff is friendly and polite Food is good and quality is great Quiet resort but you have access to the other properties which have lots of entertainment The activity staff is great and there are activities offered throughout the day. Cons: Avoid the Palidum Travel Club. Look for their blue shirts in the check-in area and walk away when you see them. Limited times that you could eat on the property. If you miss breakfast or lunch, you have two options, one is to go to another resort and the second is to order room service which takes about an hour. This is our first time at the resort so not sure if the limited times are normal or due to staff cutback during Covid. Even with reservations, you can spend thirty minutes waiting in line to be seated. Difficult to get a shuttle back to the property. We had to wait up to thirty minutes for shuttles to go to dinner or other parts of the resorts…
The resort was excellent, the layout, the privacy and our exceptional Butler Adris. My only real problem was no elevator and since I'm handicapped I can't do stairs. We had to upgrade for a price but no mention on their website for accessible rooms. I know I'm sure they don't get a lot of handicapped patrons but this is 2021. Overall though had a terrific time.
We had a swim up room and it was prefect! Room was clean, butler took care of all our needs. Would stay again! Lots of restaurant choices and entertainment in lobby nightly. All staff was friendly and attentive.
Fantastic resort and the service was phenomenal. Jean was an amazing butler and helped us get everything sorted. Made the stay extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Rooms and food / bars were fantastic. Would definitely come back!
Hotel was great. We had a butler team of Rodney, Felix, and a couple other guys I can’t remember, but they make sure you have reservations, stocked room, etc. Each morning they texted us with activities going on in the resort. Restaurants on the resort are very good. Some aren’t open every night and show cooking didn’t really happen because of Covid. Spa was also great! Some construction near our room was a little hiccup, but overall great trip!
