Kamerkloof Guest Farm was a wonderful getaway, surrounded by the incredible nature that the Baviaanskloof has to offer, housed in stylish & modern accommodation in the Landhuis guesthouse, hosted with wonderful hospitality by Susan & Andre! A+ from beginning to end!
Wife and I and all our grown-up children visited Kamerkloof (stayed in the Landshuis) at end of December 2021. One of the best holidays ever! Accommodation is superb with all amenities you can think of for a self catering guesthouse in the sticks. Setting is beautiful with many scenic and well marked hiking trails, some more challenging than others, but accessible to anyone who is moderately fit. Susan and Andre are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to assist and provide information about the farm and the Kloof in general. A must visit place if ever there was one!
I went to Kamerkloof with my family for a chance to reset and get in touch with nature. Kamerkloof was the perfect setting. It is serene, away from the rush and is a perfect reminder of how lucky we are to live in South Africa. The hosts were really incredible and went above and beyond, telling us about the history of the region and taking us on drives through the mountains. The guest house itself is luxurious. It's hard to believe such a beautiful, spacious and well equipped farm house can be found in such an isolated region. For a nature lover, an adventure bug or anyone who can appreciate natural history, this guest house is a Must. Some of the best hiking trails I've ever done!
Our stay at kamerkloof was everything one can hope for in a vacation and more! What a beautiful escape showing off the most breathtaking gems of the baviaanskloof area. Thanks to Susan and Andre for being amazing hosts and providing such a comfortable, well appointed place to stay in your little slice of heaven!
For Christmas we wanted to get remote and enjoy fresh air and outdoor hiking, but still have home comforts for our family of 4. Kamerkloof exceeded our expectations! The Landhuis has been painstakingly restored and offers quality accommodation while retaining a unique historic atmosphere. Mountain views from the covered patios and a large cooling swimming pool are perfect for relaxing after a morning exploring the paths and slot canyons on the farm. The Dameskloof route and its series of chain ladders up the gorge were a highlight for our teenage sons and definitely worth the hike, even in hot weather.
