For our first visit to Gordon’s we had an amazing Hogmanay dinner and overnight stay in the Courtyard Suite. We were greeted very warmly by Maria, joint owner with her son Gary, and shown to our lovely room just across the courtyard from the main building. The room was beautifully appointed in a contemporary style and very spacious. Maria brought us homemade biscuits and fresh milk to enjoy with coffee from our tray and, later, a couple of G&Ts. We have reviewed dinner under the “restaurant” section of TripAdvisor. After a great night's sleep in the King Size bed, we headed across for breakfast. Like dinner the previous evening, the food and service were exceptional.

Wow.Taken here for my birthday and we now have a new favourite destination. What a treat we had.Room was so beautiful and clean- could have moved in permanently.Maria and Gary are very special people.Maria was so attentive and friendly ( and interesting) and I cannot praise Gary highly enough. This chef is at the very top of his profession.Consider yourself privileged to eat and stay here.Am just disappointed it has taken us so long to find it!

We have stayed at Gordon’s on many occasions over the years and have always been made to feel exceptionally welcome. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the hotel is ideally located for touring around the beautiful countryside in that part of the world. There are also many excellent golf courses within easy travelling distance. The restaurant is one of the finest we’ve dined in and Maria and Gary deserve the highest accolades for the way this hotel/restaurant is run. This Scottish luxury and hospitality at its best.

A little gem of a place with beautiful rooms and absolutely fantastic food. Made to feel very welcome by both Maria and chef Garry. Rooms have lovely decor and very clean. The food is exceptional, especially for me the cheese souffle and carrot and orange soup. The breakfast is grea, my husband had the porridge with honey followed by cooked breakfast. Couldnt fault it.

The rooms are immaculate - but the highlight is the food. We stayed 3 nights and had a different five course dinner each evening. It has to be one of top restaurants in Scotland - and the UK. Maria Watson and her son Garry make you feel like you are visiting in their home.
