Detailed Reviews
We found this beautiful B & B thanks to its listing in the Marco Polo travel guide. It is located near the Addo Elephant Park. The owners are wonderful hosts, the rooms are spacious, well decorated, clean and comfortable, and the garden is really fantastic. My wife and I would love to stay there again some day. This review is written by Edward a Portuguese-Canadian and Marianne from Austria.

Having left the relative comfort of cosmopolitan South Africa and the Garden Route we didn't know quite what to expect.
What a lovely surprise Cosmos Cuisine in Addo was. From the moment we arrived the receptionist, manger, owners were so attentive.
Not many places to eat in the locality so we had to eat in the hotel. The food was superb .... a cheese souffle omelette at breakfast to die for!
And so close to Addo Elephant Park which was our ultimate reason for visiting the area.

Cosmos cuisine.. where do I start? Nadine and Brandon were very accommodating of our every need from booking on the phone to the day we left. THE ROOMS ARE MASSIVE! Really luxurious. The soft sound of fountains outside..
Our room had 2 seperate bathrooms on either side - one with basin, toilet and a HUGE 4 man shower - the other bathroom with basin, toilet and fully stocked bath.
Also a little kitchenette.
There was enough of everything everywhere.
Soap everywhere, lots of towels, all the standard items and more - even an emergency kit in the bathroom with everything from condoms to earbuds, etc, etc - very thoughtful.
Everyday we would come back to a room that had all the trimmings - flowers, etc - Crunchies and rusks all filled up to have with our coffee if we wished, fruit in the fruit basket - and even a sweet little homemade something for our trip onward.
Amazing breakfast menu - lots of variety and also a buffet.
Beautiful and tranquil pool, shady and sunny enough. Water features.
Such a nice vibe! We didn't want for anything. I would definitely reccommend it to everyone!
We really felt spoiled and special at Cosmos

The grounds at Cosmos are stunning, even in winter! The staff is very attentaive and willing to assist you in any way possible or just let you relax. Brandon goes out of his way to make sure guests are receiving anything they need. All of our meals were topnotch and the management even made sure we did not miss any meals while on night safari in Addo, providing us with a lovely and delicious platter waiting for us inn our room.
The rooms are beautiful and spacious. If you go in winter however expect no heat (although this is common in SA)...
The location is great for anything you may do in the Addo area.

Great location for Addo National Park, very accessible from Port Elizabeth. The Staff was VERY friendly. Rooms were huge and very very nice. The beds were very confy and the food was great. One of the best place, if not the best to do the Addo national park. I recommend this place to anyone going there.

My husband an I stayed at Cosmos Cuisine for two nights,we were not sure what to expect as we had never been to Addo before. From the moment we arrived we could not have hoped for better service and accomodation. We had booked the Executive Suite, which was fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpfull and friendly throughout our stay, and the food in the Restaurant was awsome, the presentation and quality simply incredible. We will definitely return to Cosmos next time we are in South Africa!!

My husband and I spent three days at Cosmos Cuisine in May 2007 and were pleasantly surprised, the owners had supplied the rooms with everything a traveller could possibly need from a home away from home from a filter coffer machine to a CD player and dogs to play with as I was missing my own. The food was exceptional and the staff were wonderful, friendly and accomodating and made us feel like
'family'.

My wife and I stayed in the Cosmos Cuisine for three days in October 2006 and in our view, the comments in the brochure and on the website were exactly as we found them. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and contained little touches such as an umbrella, a torch, carafe of sherry as a night cap, dressing gowns etc. The attention to detail made a big difference to our stay. The service was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and management. The owners took the time to speak personally to each guest every morning and evening. We found the food to be of the highest quality and was one of the reasons we chose this particular guesthouse. We were asked to choose our menu earlier in the day and dinner was served shortly after 7pm, but we had no problem with this as in any small establishment, to produce food of such high quality and to keep the standards high, it is necessary to plan in advance and to serve all guests at approximately the same time. The pool although small, was perfectly adequate, and the gardens really beautiful.
