Broadlands four-star Country House is an owner managed, beautifully renovated colonial style farmhouse that is both authentic and unique. The welcoming scent of orange blossoms greets our guests on entering our tree lined orchard avenue. Our Guest House offers guests accommodation in five spacious en-suite rooms, exclusively centered in a unique African oasis, overlooking the lake, swimming pool and endless gardens. The Guest House is situated on a working citrus farm in the heart of the Sundays River Valley, bordering the (malaria free), internationally renowned Addo Elephant National Park, and several other world-class Game reserves in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The Addo Elephant National Park is home to "The Big Seven" including Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, Whale and the Great White Shark. The park has over 400 elephants. Watching these gentle giants in the wild is an experience not to be missed! We will assist guests in booking all Game drives, Safaris and activities in the Area.

Travel round this part of S A is easy and even if it seems a few extra miles to get to Kirkwood from Addo it is worth it for a lovely stately home style atmosphere at Broadlands. The citrus groves, lake and avenue were all lovely and restful. Nicole, Patricia and Lesha were all very helpful with arrangements. Eat at Broadlands. There is not a great deal at Kirkwood. Happy to recommend

Broadlands country house is the most beautiful lodges we had the pleasure to use on our trip across South Africa over a 3 week tour. Set in beautiful gardens and surroundings with faultless interior we throughly appreciated the settings. The staff were also wonderful. Lisha was so kind, gracious, and welcoming. We had a warm welcome and enjoying the accommodation so much we had to amend out initial plans to make use of the facilities and beautiful set swimming pool. The communal spaces and rooms were also faultless with everything you could ask for, including plenty of towels and a huge range of hot drinks. There was an honesty bar for late night drinks and snacks. The breakfast was amazing, a delightful English breakfast on offer as well as a range of buffet snacks, fresh fruit, and alternative options. The ideal setting for a quiet getaway whilst still being close enough to enjoy the Addo Elephant park as well as other attractions in the area. Socks the lodge cat was also a delight. A huge thank you to Lisha for making it such a relaxed and enjoyable stay.

Absolutely stunning place with the charm of the old day! If you looking for a charming place, a nice terrace outside and a fresh fruit breakfast, you need to go there! It’s places in the middle of a citrus Plantage, with own small lake and swimming pool. The host Lisha was super nice and welcoming! The rooms was spacious and clean, the bed was big and comfy! We stayed two night and just loved it, probably the best place in 14 days travelling the garden route and Addo park! Always again, highly recommended!

Great hospitality, georgious and spacious room, wonderful place in silence and a beautiful view on the river and into the garden. They booked a table for us in a very good restaurant ( dinner). The breakfast was delicious. We will come again and for longer!

A beautiful place to stay and relax. We had been given the Ode outside the main house. So we had our privacy, yet were only a few meters away from the breakfast room. Lady Leisha who is looking after the guests is a real darling. She is so nice and attentive that everyone must feel at home. Also for booking safaries and for receiving advice for our onward journey we always received a helping hand from her. Broadlands is a strong recommendation.
