Our family stayed for one night en route to the Cape Coast and it was wonderful! We stayed in a stable cottage family unit. The decor was beautiful, it was spacious and has recently been renovated so you can self-cater if you like. Just bring your own meat - they supply firelighters and charcoal, etc. The beds were comfortable with excellent linen, and the bathroom was enormous. Breakfast was outstanding! The host and hostess were really welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble and they even threw in some extras, which we appreciated. We will definitely be back in future!
Charlene and the team at Elephant House went out Of their way to ensure we had the most perfect few days. Exceptional accommodation with so many well thought out little touches from fresh rusks to umbrellas. Delicious food and relaxed beautiful shared spaces. Elegant and the best base from which to visit Addo. Thank you.
Elephant House is beautiful and the staff were fabulous with welcome drinks ready for our arrival. The pool was refreshing and the buffet breakfast (which also included a hot option) and set menu dinners couldn't be faulted with an amenable chef to cater for everybody's requirements. Valentine's Dinner was a highlight with rose petals and candles. The light lunches were also delicious. I would recommend anybody looking to visit Addo Elephant National Park to stay here, we has a 4x4 tour organised by EH and also took our rental car round a few times as it is only down the road. We had the family room which was enormous with very comfortable beds and had a little pool outside as well as the large pool for everybody, it also featured an outdoor shower. Definitely visit here.
Located only a few minutes drive from the entrance to the park, this hotel is ideal to do either a self drive or a guided safari. We chose to do a guided safari on the first day which was arranged through the hotel in their vehicle and this was excellent. I can't remember the name of our guide but he was really friendly and gave us lots of information. The second day we did a self drive which gave us longer to explore at our own pace. The stable cottages were spacious and the beds were comfortble. We ate in the hotel on both evenings. The food was nice but it was more expensive than the other places we had eaten on our two week trip. We ate outside in a lovely courtyard setting. Highly recommended.
Such a relaxing place to stay. We were in one of the Stable Cottages and used the main Elephant House for breakfast and dinner. The staff could not do enough for us. They were so welcoming and hospitable. We were there on Valentine's Day which they made very special. Our cottage was very spacious and immaculately clean with a lovely veranda and close to a well cared for swimming pool close by. The breakfasts were great and we had dinner at the Elephant House 2 nights of the 3. It's about 10 mins to the gate to Addo and we went into the park late afternoon and were able to eat at the at the Camp one night when the park closed. We also did a morning game drive with Brighton which we thoroughly enjoyed and saw a variety of animals including lion. Brighton was very knowledgeable. We are looking forward to going there again before too long.…
