we just stayed at Monte do Sapeiro for a week , end of August. It was quiet, sleeping under a bed of stars and waking up to the sun rising over the Bordeira mountains. Our host Natercia made the most healthy and delicate breakfast, always slightly different everyday and it was beautiful to sit outside , the dogs and cats keeping you company , setting yourself up for a day of surf. Its 5 minutes from Amado beach where the waves are great and when you get home you have a place to hang up your wet suits and hose them down. The bedroom is cosy and clean, everything is thought of and they seem also to be ecologically aware without making a big song and dance about it. My only thought was, why don't they have solar panels? But i am sure they are thinking about it, since they seem to have thought of everything else! We will go back here, it feels so natural and feminine and calm, sleeping in between those round hills with the sound of cicadas...…
What a wonderful gem of a place this is! I had initally booked 3 nights but ended up staying two weeks in April 2019. As soon as I arrived I was enchanted by the location, by the generosity and hospitality of the family, by the beauty of the nature, and the cosy rooms. I also loved the friendly and cute pets. The wonderful host family immediately makes you feel at home, showers you with great tips for visiting the area and spoils you incredibly with an amazing breakfast. The two modern guest rooms are spotless clean and decorate it with a lot of love for details. It is beautiful to wake up with the sound of the many birds in the morning. There is also a common kitchen and living room facility with an outdoor seating area for the guest which is well-equipped and also very cozy. The Costa Vicentina has plentiful hikes and beaches and Monte do Sapeiro is a great home base to explore the area. Will be back for sure. Thank you Natércia and family for sharing your wonderful place with me. …
My wife and I have returned again to this piece of heaven, away from the rush and confusion of Brexit Britain. The view out of the room, with the sun rising over your bed in the morning and lighting up the beautiful countryside is THE way to start a day. The bedroom and bathroom are immaculate with lovely touches in design and warmth. The breakfasts are excellent and Natercia undertakes all the interesting cooking. She and Pedro have so much local knowledge and information, and happily help you to plan each day whether walking on the Rota Vincentina coastal and/or heritage routes or venturing further away. You really feel that you are in a family environment, and under no pressure.…
You expect to have the minimum level of hospitability when you book a charming rural tourism somewhere in Vicentina Coast, but then on your first call you get an answer such as "Sorry, Perhaps no one told you this is not an hotel. Therefore we don´t have a receptionist". With no other information besides the amount you should pay for the reservation, when we arrived at 9.30pm to check in we where received with "I was trying to calling you tell you the reservation was cancelled. Perhaps you didn´t grasp the notion of rural tourism". ??? With this very, very poor hospitability we were truly regreted to have paid the total amount of the stay. It seemed as this was just one easy way of making money, since there is no much choice in the area. Peacefulness (as it is spread in words all across the property) is not just about silence and nature. It´s also about spirit. Dear hosts, good look with that!…
This is the most beautiful place to relax and reconnect with nature and yourself. Our wonderfully hospitable hosts, Natercia and Pedro have created a lovely, private and peaceful place to stay, with superb views of a quiet valley and no sounds but the birds, frogs and bees. The room was comfortable and pleasingly furnished, with a very comfortable bed and complete silence at night. Breakfast was a delight every morning, fresh and varied - something to look forward to! If you want to cook, there is a shared facility that would enable this, but it is a short drive into Carrapateira and some excellent places to eat and take in the atmosphere of the small village square, so although it feels secluded and off the beaten track, it is remarkably convenient. We can't wait to return!…
"There are only two rooms here, both set into the hillside. Not a hotel but a B&B. Can cook for yourself in the common room"Read full review
"No need, as only two side by side which are identical. Light and airy and very quiet."Read full review
