What a lovely experience! The Overlook guest house is one if a kind. Overlooking the grape vinyards and friendy hosts. Not far from Augrabies waterfalls just the right place to relax and enjoy the swimming pool overlooking the beautiful grape vinyards. Will recommend this lovely guest house for anyone. Thanks our Lospers

The Overlook offers a unique view and style of accomodation. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The owner was absolutely supportive and attentive to any additional need. She even called us to inform we forget something. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the upgraded facilities.

Stopped over enroute from Kgalagadi to Cape Town and we were blown away by this fabulous facility. A wonderful, tastefully decorated chalet in the most beautiful setting, and the most spectacular pool with a view to cool down. Eric and Zeb were wonderful hosts, looking forward to meeting Anna and the dogs on our next visit!

We had a very nice stay at the overlook. Rondavel with a view, great food and very friendly hosts. If in the neighbourhood we would definitely go back! Also close to the Augrabies Falls. Thanks again for the nice stay, Jan, Connie and Paula from Belgium.

We stopped over here on our way to the Kalaghadi SANPark. What a truly delightful place this is. Beautiful & stylish rondavels with lovely views, and every detail and thought taken into consideration. We had pre-ordered dinner and this far exceeded our expectations - truly delicious and served on our rondavel stoep (and we loved the BYO policy!). Best of all was the charming host, Eric, nothing was too much trouble for him, and he made the 4 of us feel very welcome. We tried to then stay here on our way back from the Kalaghadi and unfortunately it was already fully booked - and our alternative accommodation & dinner in Keimos proved a sad disappointment compared to the lovely "Overlook".

We stayed in one of the three cottages, which are cozy and comfortable. There is a great view from the cottage's patio into the distance beyond the river. After our hot drive, we enjoyed the gardens and pool. The night was clear and we had an overwhelming view of a star-studded sky. We had made arrangements not only for breakfast but also for dinner. Eric, co-owner and chef, had inquired meticulously into our preferences or any restrictions and then offered us a very well compiled three course dinner, utilizing fresh local ingredients. The food was well prepared and presented. Meals are served on the patio, allowing to eat in privacy and whilst enjoying the panorama. Eric combined contemporary cooking with an Indonesian influence. Also the equally well-prepared breakfast was served on the patio. All very enjoyable and moderately priced

We stopped over here on our way back from the Kalaghadi Transfronteir Park and what a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and had everything you might need. We sat on the patio with a glass of wine and watched the sun set over the fields. Later we had a scrumptious meal (which I ordered when booking) served on our patio. Our hosts were most attentive and chatty and we even had some 'friends' in common. There was safe parking right outside our room which was great as we left early the next morning to get back to Stanford. We will definitely be back!

Welcomed on arrival by Eric who with his wide & extensive knowledge of worldly stories & up to date news for us who had been out in the Styx for a bit helped us to settle in & become familiar with the accommodation. The spaciousness of the unit along with its capability to self cater was neatly laid out & a joy to live in. For those wishing to braai there is a facility for that too
To sit on the stoep & be able to have an eagle eye view of the distant mountains & acres of vineyards stretching for kms with a good cup of something in hand certainly relaxes you
The location of the accommodation is convenient for anyone venturing into the Upington area
Thanks to Eric & Anna for the pack of dates to scoff & the date loaf to munch on when we left. Any traveller by passing The Overlook is missing the cherry on top of the cake for spending a relaxing night or two in a central spot to the whole area

Stunning views and perfectly appointed cottages. The swimming pool, overlooking the Orange a River floodplain, was just divine. My only complaint was that the cottages are a bit cozy for two people, unless you are a couple, but we got upgraded to two separate cottages at no extra cost! What great service.
