The hotel is located in the building where in 1212 the local authority had its siege. The tourist that spends his Holiday here can sense that magical athmosphere that seems staged in the past. The village has a medieval origin and it is the best place for trekking lovers as you can start your walking from the centre of the village and reach Vernazza in just about three hours. La Spezia, administrative centre, is at just 20 minutes by car, there you can visit museums, the historic centre and from there you can have a trip to the pearls of the bay such as Portovenere and Lerici. Within an hour by car you can reach Pisa, Parma or Genua and if you add 30 minutes to your journey you can reach Florence. The Hotel Paese Corvara has multilingual personnel that will welcome you to your booked room. All bedrooms have en-suite bathroom and free wi-fi connection. The hotel has also two independent flats at just 50 metres from the main building. GIARDINO_2The first flat is bigger and can lodge till 6 guests. It has a living room with a sofa bed and a tv, a fully equipe kitchen, two double bedrooms and a twin room, a bathroom with shower. Outside the house there is a small garden where you can relax and have dinner outside. You can reach the second flat through a a small ladder: this flat has a double bedroom with a nice terrace, a small dining area, a small bedroom with a single bed and a chest of drawers, bathroom with a bath tub and a shower. Friendly and helpful receptionist, charming room, breakfast OK, but be careful, no other food available. They have a list of restaurant recommendations which is good and even had a 10% discount in one as it was reserved through the hotel. They even have a bus to the beach in Cinque Terre for 5 euros.

Tranquility reigns supreme if that's what you're looking for, about twenty minutes away from the motorway - La Spezia or Monterosso. The room was spacious and quiet.
The transfer service provided by the hotel in Monterosso is very convenient.
Parking to be found in the space in front of the hotel.
Definitely recommended.

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable in my opinion, I had not trouble sleeping at all. The bathroom was very clean and neat; showers were very nice and clean. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, plates, and cups. If you plan on saving money and buying some groceries for your stay to cook, you wont be dissatisfied. Had stove top coffee makers, so you'll be enjoying your morning when you wake up. Breakfast was alright, its the normal Italian breakfast with just bread and speck, granola, etc. Don't expect eggs and bacon, but it was overall satisfying. Depending on your room, you'll have a very nice view from the top of the mountain. I took a walk around the town in the morning, and I was very pleased that I did. View is beautiful, town is beautiful, and it is a very relaxing experience.

Some things were bothering a little though; they provide you with a coffee maker, but don't have any type of sugar...please bring your own creamer and sugar if you plan to drink coffee at your room. Also, the coffee maker is a "bit" used, so it likes a little gross...but depending on how much you want coffee, you'll use it anyway. Towels...please bring your won towels, because the towels they provide you look like they've been used 500 times.

Overall, this was a very satisfying place to stay at, I definitely recommend staying here.

We wanted to go to Cinque Terre but we couldn't find anywhere to stay because we booked too late. How very lucky for us. This place is so charming and the family that runs it is equally as wonderful. We arrived just in time for the afternoon siesta but Daniella called the restaurant down the hill to see if they could take care of us. She also made arrangements for rides to Cinque Terre and to the train station when we left. The food was delicious and homemade.

Please note that this hotel is in a very isolated area, but it was a perfect location for our family to spend some quality family time together.

We have stayed in Corvara for 4 days and went for dinner to Hotel Paese Corvara every night. The food, atmosphere, prices were great! We tried all special dishes - pasta with boar sauce, pasta with pesto, traditional breads (kinda foccacia)... everything was so tasty. The carafe of wine was 6 Euros which was great too. Every night we went there we saw mostly locals and Italians there having dinner. For us it was a sure sign that it is a tourist trap.

Since we went to the restaurant every night we got to know the owners well. It is Italian family that owns and works at the hotel and restaurant.

The city itself is quite unique and off the beaten path. It is very old and is located on the top of the hill. There are gorgeous mountainous views from it. On the very top of the hill there are castle ruins.

I highly encourage to visit the town and try delicious food at Hotel Paese Corvara.

Overpriced country hotel. In small medieval hamlet a long, windy drive from Cinque Terre... No AC, wifi slow, no screens on windows, noise until late at night. You are trapped by only one place to eat, the hotel's restaurant -- pricey pizza a bit bland and a garden full of mosquitos. No shops nearby so self-catering apartments not worth it. Despite pictures, there is no view of the sea from here -- just the mountains.

Response from Daniela L, Proprietario at Hotel Paese Corvara

Hello I want to inform the other guests about your behaviour. You have booked a big apartment of 100 square meters with three double bedrooms and two toilets with shower by whatsapp message for a price that you accepted and at the moment of the check out you paid the half, because according to you we have made an offer, unfortunately you have confused this apartment with another one for maximum two people. Your wife has left an excellent rewiew in the hotel's guestbook about the charming village and about our fabolous pizzas, we don't understand why now you are writing the opposite. You knew before coming that our hotel has no air conditioning and no screens on the windows. There are many shops where you can buy what you need, 1 km, 2 km and 5 km far from our hotel. We haven't put anywhere pictures with the view of the seaside. Next time control better all the informations before going on holiday. Best regards Daniela

Simple but very nice hotel. 6 or 7 rooms all fully equipped. Good breakfast and dinner, made by the owners themselves and also served by them. Very kind people who will treat you as though you were eating at a friend's house. Relaxed atmosphere in a similar location. The towns of Cinque Terre are close by (15-20 min beautiful drive to Manarolo) on a beautiful road. We very much enjoyed leaving the towns that became quite busy at times for our tranquil village with small hotel. So if you like relaxed, simple and easy this is the place to go.

We stayed here from April 18-20, 2013, and we loved it. It's located in the beautiful little town of Corvara, which is far from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's also not far from the beautiful towns of Cinque Terre. We were able to get to Monterosso al mare in just 20 minutes by car. It's the perfect location to avoid the tourist traffic of the Cinque Terre, but still be able to visit them and enjoy their beauty. The town of Corvara itself is in the midst of the mountains, and it offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain range. We booked our stay through Booking.com, and we got a wonderful deal. They even gave us a bottle of wine. The staff are very friendly and personable. They are also knowledgeable about the area, and can help you make your plans. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet and beautiful vacation.

This small family owned and run hotel is located up a hillside in a tiny town about 10 miles north of La Spezia. We visited in the worst time of the year and still found the place charming. The hotel offers six (I think) accomodations. Ours was spartan and a bit cold, offering a good firm queen bed and bare tiled floors. As it was situated in the front of the buuilding the morning sun filled the room. Our hostess Elisabetta speaks english and was very pleasant and attentive. Her son cooks the dinners and the food was different than anything my wife and I had eaten before and generally excellent. Very cozy and homey getaway that you wouldn't find except through the internet.

Hotel Paese is situated in a small village on a hilltop rather close to Cinque Terre and a good base for hiking there. You will drive in fifteen minutes to Monterosso. It is a bit of an adventure to find the way through La Spezia to Corvara so it is an advantage to use a GPS with new maps. When arriving at the hotel you will meet a very obliging landlady treating you to a cup of coffe and telling you everything about this place and the environment.
The charming hotel is very small, only six rooms, and our room was very clean, simple and tasteful with fascinating views of the mountainside and the village.
Breakfast. was quite adequate and nice and for only €13 you were offered a two course dinner with a local touch. We enjoyed the dinner very much both the good food and the opportunity to meet the other hotel hotel guests of different nationalities. The atmosphere that the owner family created was very open and friendly and the dinner tended to last a very long time while exchanging.experiences from travelling all over the world
We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay in September 2011 at Hotel Paese in Corvara and can highly recommend this hotel.
