I stayed at the Bella Ombre Guesthouse in vredendal on the evening of the 6th of September. I have stayed there previously a few years ago and am happy I went back. The hosts are all stunning .Very friendly and make you feel at home. Nothing is to much for them to make your stay a relaxed and happy one. The atmosphere , rooms , breakfast are all top draw. I would recommend the Bella Ombre first and foremost when staying over in Vredendal.

Great hosts and staff, they even organize a bbq for you. Nice and cosy garden and pool area. Location set in a quite neighborhood. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. The day starts with a nice breakfast and the hosts great you every morning and serve you your breakfast the way you wish.

The guest house is situated in a quiet location just a 5 minute drive from the middle of town. Our room was comfortable with an outlook on the large garden. The breakfast was excellent but the best part of the visit was the hospitality from the owners and their staff who could not have been more helpful and welcoming.

A quick getaway to the quaint countryside in Vredendal. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and beautiful grounds of Belle Ombre. An old farmhouse stands firm amidst perfectly green lawns and gardens. We decided to take the kids along and Belle Ombre was more than accommodating. We had an exterior room with extra bed for the toddler. Although a cold wintry night we kept warm, had extra blankets and were snug with all the amenities necessary for a pleasurable night away. The breakfast was superb and filling; the staff friendly and very helpful.

Upon our arrival we were immediately impressed by a beautifully manicured, lush green garden which frames the beautiful old farmhouse which is now an inviting guesthouse. We were given a very warm and friendly welcome by Piet, who owns and runs Belle Ombre with his equally friendly wife, Sarah.

Our room (Jeripico) was spacious and very clean and was furnished with beautiful antique wood furniture. A flat screen television with digital satellite television, a microwave, kettle (with complementary tea and coffee), and bar fridge with honesty bar and airconditioner completed the picture. Good quality bed linen, a down duvet and a very comfortable mattress made for an excellent night's sleep.

We woke up refreshed and enjoyed a tasty bacon and egg breakfast. A Continental breakfast is also available.

Given that we were there for business, we were unsure whether we would have to stay another night or not. This was not a problem for Piet and Sarah, who were happy for us to occupy the room until we were able to confirm that we would indeed stay over for an extra night.

The main house is beautifully decorated in a style reminiscent of yesteryear and one feels entirely at home in this comfortable setting. Each room is uniquely decorated - no "cookie cutter" approach in sight here! A comfortable pool area will certainly see some use if we visit in summer.

We will certainly choose Belle Ombre again!

We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon unsure of what to expect. What we found was more than we had hoped for. Our hosts, Sarah & Piet gave us one of the warmest welcomes we have ever received and ensured that we were settled in, comfortable, sure of where everything was and how everything worked. After a long hot day on the road the air conditioner was most welcome and quickly cooled us down. The unit we were allocated was large and light with a kitchen equipped with most things required to prepare a light meal/snack. Breakfast was excellent value and delicious and we enjoyed eating in the dining room of what was the original farmhouse in the area. After a day spent working we enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden while we sipped on something cold from the honesty bar. There was ample secure parking for vehicles. All in all we had a fantastic two night stay at this guesthouse where we were most impressed by the attention to detail paid by both Sarah & Piet. The well appointed large rooms and the hospitality of the hosts ensures that we will visit again in the future.

The delightful owners and hosts Sarah and Piet went out of there way to make our stay comfortable and where very helpful in assisting us with travel arrangements.
The property has a homely feel, is well maintained with lovely manicured gardens and a pool.
The rooms are clean, spacious, well appointed and comfortable. You can relax outdoors with a cup of tea/coffee or glass of wine whilst planning the next days travel adventure.
Self catering units are available. There is ample secure parking on the property.
Full English or Continental style breakfast is available and dinner can be arranged on request, however there are restaurants available close by.

Exhausted after a day on bicycles this was an Oasis!! Spacious room with a selfhelp kitchenette. Some nice touches like milk in the fridge and headache tablets was impressive. Parking right infront if the room makes it very accessible. Ample farmers breakfast served at a time we could choose was a bonus. Karen a great hostess.
