Ok, this is not the Ritz, but face it eh!... you are in the middle of the dessert!!!!! This hotel is a gem! Not super fancy, but exactly what you need! Comfy bed, bar-saloon, restaurant, general store across the street and a pool! Sure there's not much to do except falling in love with Death Valley! I will go back one day - for sure - ! :) thank you!

My second time staying at this property and I loved it again. Staff friendly and helpful. Steps away from the desert. A quiet National Park experience. Enjoyed near by Mosaic Canyon and Mesquite Dunes.

This hotel is located just outside the park entrance and not too far from Furnace Creek. The room was pretty basic with 2 double beds, table & chair and ok Wifi. The room was clean and functional. The restaurant had a decent menu but was take-out only due to Covid. The hotel is close to the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes but far from other attractions. There was a moldy smell in the room when we first entered which we got used to after a few minutes. Considering the basic motel room and the location (which is still some distance away from the main attractions), I felt the price was high. Overall, it is ok for a 1 or 2 night stay but I would book early and inside the park for more luxurious accommodations.

We stayed here for a 3 day weekend. We had a standard room with two double beds. The room was very clean and beds very comfortable. The room actually had a coffeemaker, which is something that most other hotels seemed to have removed due to COVID. The one downside is that there is no WiFi, but then again, it was nice to disconnect for a bit. We also wish that there was a second chair in the room, since because of COVID we had to eat some meals in the room. We did eat dinner at the restaurant, which has a limited take-out menu. The burger I had was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. You can sit at patio tables and they bring the food to you. The location of this hotel is pretty good - even though it's not as centrally located as Furnace Creek. One other downside was that the pool is not heated, but at least it is open. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a good option for visiting Death Valley National Park. It's nothing special from a motel standpoint, but the rooms were clean and the was staff friendly. It's a bit pricey, but it's much less than the other in-park options. It's also more centrally located within the park itself, although further from the Badwater Basin area sites. The hotel felt quite safe from a COVID safety standpoint.

Room Tip: The Mesquite Dunes are a couple of miles away. A dune-view room is not really a plus.
