Yes, the price is low, but so is the room quality: a short and uncomfortable bed, a useless tv (see picture), a dirty shower, the AC didn't work and neither did the fridge. Only for people with very low expectations.
The apartments themselves were adequate for basic self catering.There is not a bar service. The room was quait clean , we find some hair on the floor from the previous guest. Our real concern was the distance to any tavernas, even the bus.Contrary to description it is at least a 30 minute walk to the bus station and the centre of Zante town, so we rent a car weren't in troumble .the pension is standing on a road, which separates you from the sea. On a positive, Elena was very accommodating and welcoming.
The apartments themselves were adequate for basic self catering but nothing to entertain children. There is not a bar service as such, but you could buy a beer and sit on a terrace. Our real concern was the distance to any tavernas, shops or even the bus! We ended up having to get a hire car at higher cost because it was last minute booking but would not have managed without it. Contrary to description it is at least a 45 minute walk to the bus station and the centre of Zante town. Onward buses were very limited on times and you could only go to 5 other places. The nearest mini supermarket was about 1/2 hour away although there was a nearer kiosk that sold water. The only taverna in walking distance was the Green Boat which was excellent but we would have liked a choice! On a positive, Elena was very accommodating and welcoming. We were here for our short holiday.The room was always cleaning and the view of the sea was amazing.you must to go if you want to stay near Zakinthos town and visit all the island by scooter or car.The price is very cheap.
I called for a reservation to line up a room to pansion elena and after having an arrangement about the room with the owner,one day after ms elena called and declare to me that the reservation is canceled and without conversetion she just hung up the phone to me and when i called again to speak to her she never answer..not a bit professional,not a bit dependability,not a bit politeness!!!
