We had a lovely stay at Milkwood Manor and would recommended it to everyone. The hosts, uncle Chester and aunt Jean are beautiful people with loving souls. The room was neat and comfortable and everything one could've wanted. The separate entrance and stunning patio was amazing!!
Milkwood Manor is a very nice Bed & Breakfast in Kenton-on-Sea. The owners are the most heartwarming persons possible. The views from the rooms are spectacular. Kenton is a charming small town at the sea and two rivers worth visiting.
Very nice room with a fantastic view over the see. Helpful and friendly owners. Good breakfest. Fine bed. You can sit in the garden and look to the see. Easy park your car in the front off the accommodation.
On every trip that I undertake to the Eastern shores of South Africa, my first and favorite overnight stay is at Milkwood. I read a comment someone posted after their stay at Milkwood Manor, that they wanted a TV set in the room. For all of the glory of nature to enjoy around the property, I can't think why someone would want to sit in the room and watch TV. Take a walk which in a few steps would take you to the edge of the Bushmans river. Here I have seen octopus, schools of small fish and crabs to name but a few. The walk along the shore from Bull's head at the mouth of the river, all the way to the Kariega on the Northern side of Kenton is a magical experience. At the right time of year you can sit on the veranda and see whales frolic of the shore. After all the energy spent whiling away your time exploring, find comfort in the rooms at the Manor, take a refreshing shower and just relax while the silence of Kenton soothes away any stresses you might have. The dining room at the manor has a fridge and a microwave that can be used for that after hours cold drink or warming of a snack. Each room has a coffee station if you so feel to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea during your stay. Breakfast is a tasty boere affair with all the makings of a good South African breakfast. I am grateful that Chester and Jean opened their home for someone like me to enjoy their hospitality and the serene atmosphere that Kenton-on-sea offers. I always look forward to the next time I can get to Milkwood Manor and switch off from the world.…
We enjoyed the beautifull view from our room looking on the Boesmans River Mouth. Our hosts, Chester and Jean Wilmot went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we settled in nicely into the well equiped and clean room. The outstanding breakfasts further provided the opportunity to mingle with the other guests which added to a family like atmosphere.
