My home away from home in Hakata/Fukuoka for the past 6 nights. It was quite a comfortable, fuss-free stay for us. Staff were extremely polite and our rooms were comparably spacious (by Japanese hotel standards) and even looked new(?) or well-maintained. I also really loved that you can control your air-conditioning, which is very important in colder autumn/winter seasons, where some hotels assume you would like your rooms to have sauna conditions.. Toilets were also some of the bigger ones I’ve seen in Japan and the ventilation is amazing. We could open two medium-to-large-sized luggage without feeling too cramped. The hotel is located 5-6 minutes away from Hakata Station, which makes it pretty convenient for transport connectivity. If you are walking from Hakata Station with luggage, I suggest taking the main road, along Comfort Hotel and Hotel Nikko, and turning left at Hotel Nikko, which is a longer route but the route is flat and easier to manage for those with luggage. The straight route from the station is quite bumpy, narrow, and you have to watch for traffic. There is a Lawson (convenience store) directly opposite the hotel too should you need anything. Bottled water is provided daily for the guests. Overall a great stay, highly recommend!!

The hotel is good in all respects. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and functional. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good with fresh expresso available. The location is midway between Hakata station and Canal City (on a side street). If I came back I would probably stay closer by Hakata Station as HS is more livelier to my taste than Canal City where most of the shops are chains. But I have no complaints about the Royal Park. Staff are helpful.

Stayed in a single room room for 2 nights. Entire hotel is non-smoking, which will be important for some guests. Room decor and styling is modern looking, and bathroom is bright and cheerful, if small (as is typical for business rooms). Hotel is a doable 5 minute walking distance to Hakata Station along quiet side roads, though you might have to pull your luggage on roads as pavements are narrow along the these side roads. Hotel was able to hold luggage until the 3PM check-in time. No problems speaking English to reception staff. Breakfast range is decent.
