Reading reviews for this property I was a little hesitant however, rooms are very spacious, spectacular views, very good air con and lovely staff. Yes it’s dated but I feel that just adds charm. It’s spotlessly clean, food is good and reasonably priced for such a tiny island and the terrace views where you dine are stunning. Beach is very close and beautiful but beware it’s €10 per subbed and a parasol is also €10. You can opt to put your towel on the rocks though. My only criticism is the tiny shower cubicle, we are both slender people so not sure how a larger person would fit... feel this could be easily fixed considering the size of the bathroom.
We stayed two nights at Eden hotel in July. We had a family room (two adults, one child and a small dog) which was big and clean. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the beautiful terrace was good enough even for us vegeterians. Kids and adults paid the same price for the dinner. In our opinion this is unfair because the dinner buffet includes only antipasti, main cource and dessert are served to the table. It would be possible to make half portions for kids for the half price. We very happy with this a little bit worn out hotel and would absolutely came back.
We returned to this hotel after 8 years from our first visit for only one reason: because they host the great Marlin Tremiti diving Center, and it is so practical to just go directly to plunge from the room, especially on very hot days. We knew the hotel is sort of vintage, to be generous, a typical Italian hotel built at the time of the tourist boom in the country and, judging from the decoration of rooms and bathroom, not renovated since the 80s at the latest. We found no change since last time. To be fair, the basics are there, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower works. But the tiny shower with the plastic cabin reminds me of my parents place in the 80s, the decoration is totally outmoded, and the general state of the hotel gives an idea of decline and abandon. It is really a pity because the location of the hotel is ideal and there is a great sea view from the breakfast terrace. I understand that to renovate such a structure is a big investment but they could at least make an effort in service (reception people do minimum service) and breakfast (stale croissants, scrambled eggs of a suspicious intense yellow, chewy buns... It was difficult to find something edible). A last touch was the playlist of Italian songs from the 60s to the 80s, some of them, to put it mildly, rather alternative in content, played at a volume that could not be ignored, the same songs at exactly the same hour every day. Once it's fun and quaint, the second and third time is far too much... do they do it on purpose to enhance the vintage effect? In sum we will certainly return to Tremiti and to the Marlin Diving Center but we will look for another hotel!…
The rooms were large, but the shower was the tiniest one that we have ever seen! We could not even raise our arms to shampoo our hair once inside. Really! My daughter also got locked in the bathroom, as the locks were ancient, and not working properly. Everything is really old (not in a quaint way!) and in need of some updating. The included breakfast was lovely - plentiful and in a pretty outdoor spot. The shuttle ran pretty frequently. Overall, an OK place to stay on a beautiful island.
We had first class service in the Hotel Eden. Gaetana, the Director, went out of his way to provide me with my beloved afternoon tea in my room, made our room available for longer on the day of departure and provided us with all the information we needed to have a wonderful stay on the islands. Breakfasts are delicious!
