The hotel sits atop of the large Midtown Tower right on the outskirts of Roppongi. The lobby starts on the 45th floor and it only gets better from there. Lobby level is gorgeous with spacious seating areas, an amazing looking bar, and a high quality (but expensive) restaurant. Having a cocktail in the lobby is a must!

Rooms are luxuriously appointed, lots of amenities, and even the rooms with mediocre views are gorgeous. International staff speaks many languages and usually are pretty fluent in both English and Japanese.

Bed is turned down every night, convenient light controls on both sides of bed, full bathroom with separate shower and tub.

This was my best hotel stay and a benchmark. I don't recall hearing any hallway or adjacent room noise, and of course you're so far up there is no street noise as well.

Easy access to an amazing mall, subway station, and nearby businesses. If you have the means or you can find a few nights under cap for your business stay, you must check the Ritz out!

The design of the intimate interior to the fast elevator to the high floors, you are ushered in arrival to RC high floors. The bar and lobby restaurant have fantastic views, as did our room.

The room was extremely comfortable with an excellent bed, quality appointments but the housekeeping. Oh wow. So good. They were so attentive and when we expressed concern that the room smelled like cigarette smoke they dealt with it immediately (to great affect might I add).

We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in the lounge but did not eat at the restaurant. It was great.

Post check out I was concerned I had left something in the room and the follow up and thoroughness of the housekeeping department and staff was outstanding.

I cannot recommend the Ritz Carlton Tokyo more highly. Also the location is really my favorite, close to Roppongi Hills and walk able to so many train stations and even by foot locations.

So we booked a new year holiday using Bonvoy. To our surprise when we arrived at the hotel at 5pm, we were told that the room was not ready for check in and that it would need ‘15 minutes’ for additional inspection. I’m a Titanium member and travel 80% of the year staying at numerous Bonvoy properties around the world, this was definitely a first encounter where a hotel charging $1k a night would have the balls to tell their most loyal guests in early evening hey sorry I don’t have a room for you. The check in staff took her time to explain the titanium benefits; she took out a piece of paper that says 4pm ‘guaranteed’ late check out but at the same time told me with a straight face that the room needs to be returned by 12 noon the following day without any hesitation. The so called Titanium perks are either 1x Apple 1x Orange or some lame discount on breakfasts. Great location, but very poorly trained staff who don’t understand how to handle situations and communicate in a way international guests can understand. Not recommended, especially when they jack up the price during holidays.

Any hotel with a lobby on the 45th floor is off to a good start. This hotel boasts gorgeous views of Tokyo and is located in a lively higher-end neighborhood (roppongi ) filled with plenty of great dining and shopping options.
Be sure to take full advantage of the lobby bar/lounge area. The cocktails are pricey but extremely creative and tasty. The live music is heavenly.
The service is across the board second-to-none. You’ll be hard pressed to find a hotel that makes you feel more valued.
Ultimately, I’d highly recommend this hotel as long as youre comfortable footing the hefty bill.

I just arrived after spending 5 nights at The Ritz in Tokyo. Love the hotel. The common areas, the spectacular views and stunning floral arrangements in the lobby were all next level. The food and service for breakfast was incredible friendly and the food was delicious. The bar service was excellent. So many little extra touches for making a traveller travelling alone feel so comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again. The room was spacious clean and very well appointed. The gym was great as well. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to use the spa but definitely will on my next visit. I spent a lot of time deliberating where to stay and I am delighted with my decision. The location and attached shopping centre with cold rainy weather was a huge plus! If I had to point out one small thing it would be that the room could use a paint refresh. A small concession after such incredible service!!

Lobby on the 45th floor!!! Insanely incredible! Upon my arrival, the lobby staff meet and greet me and bring me straight to my room and the persobal service to privately check me in IN my room. The hotel staff are so accomodating to our request. The comfort and convenience of it all after a long day of travelling was just excellent. My room was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view of the city skyscrapper!! I was also given the vip access to the club lounge and i must truely say that the service just as tip top as my arrival to the hotel. The service staffs, the chefs down to the house keeping staff are all amazing! Little details to personalise my stay that gets me feel of that personal touch which is lack of in these modern stressful day. I love my stay and wish it could have been longger but my 3 nights of stay has been memorable experience. I will definately come back to stay with them again when i'm back in Tokyo!

Excellent does not begin to describe our stay at the Ritz in Tokyo Club Level. The staff, each and everyone of them, were so kind and made us feel so special. The amenities of the Club lounge are excellent in choice and quality. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom, housekeeping and turn down service at our desired time, incredible attention to detail. Our room was on the 53rd floor and the views were spectacular including Mount Fuji!
Our sincere thanks to Alexandre Prouvost (I hope this is spelled correctly) the Club Floor Manager and the entire staff for making our stay and my companion's birthday a memorable occasion.

No review can do this hotel justice. It is a must stay. The location is superb as you are equidistant between Tokyo Station/Ginza and then Shibuya/Shinjuku on the other side of town. The service is what really separates this hotel though. We were treated like family the entire time and were truly saddened when our date of departure came. A special shout out to the lovely ladies of the concierge all of whom were so gracious and helpful.

We spent 10 days at the hotel with our 3 children ages 14,12 and 9 and we had an amazing time. The breakfast service is the best we have ever seen. They go above and beyond. Our waiter Mauricio noticed the type of fruit that our daughter liked after the first day and would bring her her favorite fruit every day afterwards. I had a broken leg and crutches and when the housekeeping team noticed that, they placed a shower chair in our room with a kind note. Everything about the service was thoughtful.
The location was great for us as the hotel connects with the Tokyo midtown mall, which has many take out food options and an upscale supermarket when the kids were not in the mood for a formal meal. The area is central to parks and tourist sites as well as public transportation. The pool is also large and lovely. Highly recommend!

I am sure that would be possible as the rooms are large, however in Japan they di charge the rooms rate based on how many people occupy so you should book the room for the correct number of people at the time of reservations

Besca001...thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately we are going end of March/beginning of April so high Sakura season. there are no Club rooms available for me to use points to book. I will ask the front desk upon check in to see what the price would be and if it is available. Thank you again

Thanks for your reply but to just use the pool still requires a small fee is nickel and diming when one is already paying exorbitant price to stay as a guest....lol... Hopefully the hotel staff can jump in and let me know what the small fee is. Thank you again besca001!
