Nishitetsu’s perfect location is the main reason why I wanted to check in here. It’s right by the busy main shopping area on one side and on the other side, you can walk to Ohori Park where you can have some quiet time. The staff were also very friendly, helpful and efficient. It’s a bonus that there’s a Carholic church across it. I also had no problem walking along the street from the hotel and crossing the bridge to Hakata where my friends are staying.
This hotel is very centrally located near the city Tenjin. Easy access to many restaurants, shops and cafes. It’s also quite close to the airport and it only takes 20-30mins from the airport to the hotel. It’s also only a 5min-walk to the Fukuoka express bus terminal and the Tenjin subway station. Rooms are well lit and spacious, a very rare find in Japan as most of the hotel rooms in Japan are rather small. The hotel lobby may be dated, but I can tell the rooms are newly renovated. Staff is courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much.
We recently stayed for 2 nights. Central location very close to shops, restaurants. The staff very courteous. Rooms well appointed, breakfast available with many options for western and Japanese. Easy walk to nightlife.
Stayed for 5 nights, attending a conference. Good room, excellent staff and good (though pricey) breakfast buffet. Also attended the conference dinner that was held in this hotel, and this was an excellent event.
We stayed only one night in Fukuoka; otherwise would find the basic room type booked to be too small. However, location was very lively - lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity and a nice garden with river view. The staff is very courteous, which is typical in Japan, but I was especially impressed by the concierge, who was so helpful! She also gave us recommendations for a saga beef restaurant which turned out to be the best meal of our Kyushu trip, and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Fukuoka next time (but maybe book a larger room if staying longer).
