Bungalows are outdated, old and very poor quality. The beds were impossible to sleep on, there was a horrible smell coming from the pipes that nevera disappeared even after we complained and the staff sprayed something. Food from buffet was, well, buffet quality - quite low. We asked to stay at the newest part of the building (where the olives are) and they told us we couldnt since we have kids under 12. Same with the alla cart restaurant. The highlights: the group of teens in charge of activities and the nights shows, really cool and nice; and Sophia, the photographer: amazing professional who took such great pictures from us, glad that we decided to do the photoshoot.

Dear Madam, Three days after your arrival you were asked for maintenance for problems in the bathroom. The surgery was promptly performed without further complaints from you throughout the rest of the stay. The Village is structured in two parts, the first suitable for families with small children, the bungalows are spacious, entertainment and sports activities are all within reach. The pool and water park are close by. The other part, "l'Oliveto", a little more secluded than the main services is an area where relaxation is guaranteed and for adults without small children. The buffet restaurant is very appreciated by all our guests, where they find a wide choice of appetizers, first courses, main courses and many appetizing and healthy foods for children. Thank you for enjoying the entertainment activities and all the staff.

We have spent in Villaggio Albatros amazing holidays. We have been 3 adults and 3 kids. Food, accommodation, cleanliness, aquapark - everything was great. Just small problem was with transfer, on the way from airport car got broken so we had to wait on the highway over the hour and on the way to the airport driver had big delay. But finaly we got to the airport in time. I can recommend.

It's the 7th year we spend a week at Albatros, and everything was very good as always. Crew is professional, funny and kind. Food is excellent. In a couple of times we had to wait more than 10 minutes at the buffet, but it was surely due to the fact that it was the first week with a lot of guests.

Nice holiday in a nice village. It used to be a camping and you can see it still. Small structure, you can reach all the services in less than 3 minutes walk, spectacular animation team, very clean, also the "AQUAPARCO" next to the village is very clean and all the attactions are good for children more than 120cm tall. We stayed in doubleroom and our room was more than a double room. Even if they forniiture and the bathrooms devices are easy and aged, they are functional, eveything is very clean and confortable. A particular thank goes to the animation team. They all are great from the mini-club team girls to the sport team...all of them. The only remarks I have are for the bar. Friendly staff and good drinks BUT prices are too high to be in a resort where you don't have an alternative. Beach: good the idea of the train to reach the beach. Not good to have the beach out of the village. The worst thing is the amount of garbage on the beach ... is not acceptable in 2016 that a beach is treated in this way.

Mr Citro 72, We’ve to thank you for being our guest and for this review. We appreciate the narration of your holiday at the Villaggio Albatros. The furniture in our wide rooms are not exactly new one, but everything works perfectly. It’s true, rooms or apartments are tidy and comfortable. Our private beach is also tidy and perfectly cleaned. We’re sorry for public beach, on which we can do nothing. Sadly, it depends on good manners of those regulars. But our must are the Staff and the “Acquaparco”…and our precious guests. Hope see you once again. We’re waiting for you.

Great place. My wife, my children and I really appreciated how we were looked after. The important point of stopping here was the attentiveness of the staff. From the people that clean the rooms, to the bar staff to the reception staffs were all very helpful. I have to compliment the food. We decided to go full board and did not regret it. The choice for both lunch and dinner was extensive with choices of pasta, meats, fish and vegetarian, served buffet style with free water and wine. This choice gave my children a chance to sample foods that they would not normally have a chance to try at home in Ireland. Breakfast also had an excellent selection, even for us Northern Europeans. Going full board actually saved money because for a group of 5 to eat out or self-catering would have been more money. Particular compliments to Marco, the Maitre d’, and Andrea who looked after our table. They were both super friendly and Marco’s English was very good. I have to compliment the cleanliness of the accommodation. The full board option ensured that we were kept topped up with clean towels on a daily basis and our beds were made. We had a problem with the shower and this was fixed in an instant. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool which was maintained superbly by the pool attendant. He was also very good with the children. Our stay extended into the second week of July and the pool become noticeably busier. The beach area was spotless and in a comfortable environment. The kids enjoyed the Aqua Park, which was free Monday to Friday. The atmosphere was young and lively. The bar area was very relaxed and was attended by two staff who could speak good English and were a credit to the holiday village with their attitude and attention. The animation team were friendly and the shows in the amphitheatre seemed fun but those with little understanding of Italian may not benefit. I would suggest that the wifi be extended to the bar area. In summary, family friendly, staff who care, clean and comfortable with a lovely atmosphere but very Italian with few foreign tourists.

We Visited this holiday Village in early July 2013 for two weeks. The Village is on the Adriatic Coast of Italy in the North of Puglia near a holiday Town of Marina Di Lesina. Both I and my family were not too sure as to what to expect as all the reviews on this place are written by Italians. However, we are an adventurous crowd and decided to give it a whirl and have a holiday there. We booked a holiday bungalow thinking it was full board, however, due to my poor understanding of Italian I ended up with self-catering. Not a problem as I like to cook and it would give us opportunities to eat out. Check in can be complicated to those not too conversant in Italian but the reception staff were both helpful and accommodating. They were also immaculately dressed, pleasant and polite. The accommodation comprised of a single storey row of brick built holiday homes. The Kitchen cum dining room is open to the element and is only protected by a thick, tarpaulin type curtain and a fence but it works so well. This was great as during the day we had the curtain open and it was like eating alfresco every time we ate. However, at night we would close the curtain for fear of being attacked by the dreaded Zanzare (mosquitoes). The place is regularly fumigated late at night so it’s not too much of a problem. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave and 4 ring gas stove. I missed having an oven and we were heavily reliant on the gas stove. The kitchen had little utensils and a few more would have help. The inside accommodation comprised of two bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms were large and could accommodate my 3 young children and my wife and me. There is a dated television which works fine and an abundance of storage space and cupboards. I would go along to say that the home was almost perfect. The air conditioning was excellent and needed for us used to the Northern European Climate. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bathroom comprised of a shower only, which was big and roomy. When you book there are charges which are not included. These are made clear. The charges for the accommodation include ‘Consumi’(electric, water and gas charges), biancheria da bagno (towels) and ‘Pulizia finale,’(Final cleaning of home).’ Also they supply you a credit type card that is loaded up with 50 euro which you either pay for there and then or settle at the end of the stay. The card allows you to use at the resorts only bar, shop and pizzeria. Money is deducted rather than the use of cash. These holiday villages have a team of young people and are known as the ‘Animation Team.’ They are responsible to keep the young holiday makers happy occupied with an abundance of events and activities. My kids took part in model cat walk show one night in the amphitheatre. They also would look after the children during the day and take them to the beach or swimming pool. You can collect your kids for lunch but for 10 euro per child they will feed them in the dining room. They really do try and please the kids and some of the girls spoke a little English which helped my kids. I believe that there are two groups, up to 12 years and then teens. My kids were with the young group. The private beach is either a 10 minute walk or you can hop on the resorts train. The stay includes a private umbrella and two chairs. If you’re early enough on check in day you can go to the beach and register a bed near the sea as opposed to the back. The condition of the beach is again clean. However, during the second week of our stay the sea was rough and this stirred the sea debris to come ashore which did spoil the swimming experience. When the sea was calm it was great and child friendly as the beach gently sloped out under the sea. Again, the Animation team were out in force on the beach and they did plenty of activities, some for adults such as exercise. We loved the simple, clean and small pool in the resort. It was staffed by an attentive life guard who improved my 6 year old child’s swimming. When the kids were away with the animation team my wife and I had ample time to enjoy the pool. At the bottom of the Village there is a fun pool complex. This has an abundance of slides, flumes and pools. It’s great for the kids and adults alike. It’s free to use Monday to Friday but at weekends there is a charge to use it. Again the animation team are there and they do many activities including aquarobics for the adults and older children. The dining Room is huge and is buffet style. Unless you go for full board it is expensive to eat there. They have themed nights which offered food from the local region accompanied with local wine. At night there is a regular show at the amphitheater. It’s all in Italian so unless you speak good Italian you are limited. In the bar area they have regular discos and locally themed dancing. Facilities include, a launderette, football and tennis courts, an outdoor gym, archery, football pitches. If you have a car you can explore the local area or shop in the nearby towns. The town of Marina di Lesina is pretty much a non-event as there is very little there to see and do. There are a few restaurant and we did eat there on two occasions. Altogether, we thoroughly enjoyed the village. It is totally geared up for Italians and, although I speak little Italian, my family don’t. If they had the holiday would have been enhanced for them. Great place, great staff and great facilities. Would we go again? I think we would.

Dear Mrs Pastini, thank you so much for this so complete review! We appreciate it so much! We’re so sorry for not speaking English so fluently, but our Reception Chief Francesca, our Maître Marco, our Animation Team Chief Enzo and many others, they do, so they could help you in any need. You and your family have caught the soul of this holidays Village: simple but with all kind of comfort you need on vacation. It is specifically for families with children and teens. As you discovered we also provide a full board accommodation including meals with Italian menu: pizza, pasta, fish, meat, vegetables, fruits and dessert an local wine every day. We’re waiting for you and, once again thank you!

I've just returned from a wonderful 4 days at Vilaggio Albatros in Marina di Lesina, Puglia. I stayed there with my wife and 2 kids, a 4 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome with complimentary drinks provided at the entrance by Valerio and Alessandro, who then assisted us to bring our bags to our accomodation which consisted of a large eating area with fridge, microwave, cooker etc. and the bedrooms, bathroom which were spacious and clean. A good start! After we settled in we decided to explore, quickly discovering a large swimming pool in front of a lovely bar. We decided a trip to the beach was in order so we boarded the little train and off we went. The beach was huge and space around our umbrella was aplenty, fantastic! Afterwards we went to eat in the wonderful buffet restaurant, greeted at the door by Rosaria and Francesco and, again, made to feel so welcome. The food was top class all 4 days we were there, large selections of starters/fruits and a choice of 3 first courses and 2-3 second courses. Water and wine were complimentary as were a large selection of coffees/juices at breakfast. believe me, one does not go hungry at the Vilaggio Albatros! Our all inclusive package included the Acqua Park which the kids absolutely loved, water slides and lots of different pools, it was a hard job telling them it was time to go when the Park had to close! In the evening there was entertainment for the kids who danced with Rosaria, Valerio and Alessandro, can't praise these 3 enough, energy to burn and always smiling, very impressive young people indeed. After the kids tired (finally!) there was entertainment for the adults with Arturo and his pal who's name I can't remember. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and the atmosphere was very friendly indeed. Thank you Francesco for the tennis lessons you gave to me and my daughter, your patience was appreciated! There was also a football tournament while we were there but unfortunately I had to miss out on that. To sum up, this is a perfect place to bring your kids and be treated extremely well. You will not be disappointed! You may well need to go on a diet afterwards though..!
