Really pleased we chose Bastas for our holiday. We stayed for 10 days at the beginning of July which had been rearranged from 2020. I had been in touch with Babis regularly about the rescheduling and last minute changes to our arrival thanks to our flights being cancelled less than a week before. He was super helpful and accommodating with the changes and throughout our stay helping to organise boat trips and our pre departure Covid tests. Was reassuring having someone to help with all the new procedures. Room was basic but clean and had everything you need. There are basic cooking facilities but the kitchenette is quite small if you really want to do more than some toast or sandwiches. So many great restaurants in walking distance I had no intention of cooking for myself so for us it was ideal. Highly recommend and we hope to return again in the future. Thank you Babis and the rest of the team

Spent ten lovely days in September . We booked direct with the hotel , thereby saving money and not having to pay 11 weeks in advance during these uncertain times. The money then goes directly to the family. Babis collected us from Loggos where we had been staying prior. . The hotel was extremely covid safe , following all guidance and spotlessly clean as always. We have stayed here several times . The rooms are basic but very clean , the small kitchenette in only really suitable for breakfast . We eat out every day so this is not an issue. The hotel is in a fabulous location only steps from the restaurants and bars of Lakka. The pool is an added bonus where the views are lovely. The hotel offers daily transport to the beach at Manadendri where there is also a pool and taverna. The family will arrange transport ant time which is very handy as there are only 5 taxis on the island and the buses do not run into the evening out of peak season. There was a bad storm forecast on the day of our departure. The ferry company gave us 30 minutes notice to leave ( we weren’t packed) . Babis was contacted by reception and he managed to get us to the port with minutes to spare. Massive thank you . I would recommend this friendly small hotel.

We stayed at the bastas hotel sept 2020 for 2 weeks travelling with olympic holidays. The hotel is in a very good position.Shops tavernas bakery all in within walking distance. We had a room on the 2nd floor which overlooked garden area. Room was typically greek which we love. Small kitchen ample to do snacks, fridge, small oven , toaster, kettle. Linen and towels changed regularly. Pool is fabulous , up a lot of stairs but worth the climb! No lift at the hotel which might be a problem for some. Staff and owner are very helpful and friendly. Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY thank you staff at Bastas

Stayed with the Bastas family both when they were exclusively Olympic and now they are free of the encumbrance. Bibby, the son and International Traveler is now taking more control. There are a number of improvements from the former 'village rooms' feel, he is headed towards the Boutique end of the market. There is a certain charm about the fact that Dad saw a market and built the place in the style of a Roman villa , complete with open to the sun internal circulation area. As we are annual regulars, booking and paying directly we can choose or room, this year we are on the 3rd floor at the front. Ok so after dinner at one of the local eateries 3 floors could be ' difficult' but by way of a platform your already 1/2 way to the pool. When we have dates sorted and God willing we will return to Lakka and Bastas .
