A beautiful Guest House among all the activities there are to do in The Crags. We have 10 suites, catering for 26 guests maximum in 3 different styles of rooms. Our restaurant caters for dinners, and we also do beautiful tapas platters that you can enjoy in your room or around the pool. We welcome couples, families with children of all ages, and wedding groups.
Its the second time that we stay in this guesthouse and both times it was an excellent experience : fantastic view over the mountains ; very good breakfast and diner ( we would recommend strongly to have diner at the guesthouse - you will not regret) and very nice and clean rooms . A topper amongst the many places we have visited.

Tarn Country House sits on top of a hill with 270 degree panoranic views of the fynbos and distant hills. You can watch wonderful sunsets, and if you're up early enough, beautiful sunrises. Gorgeous pool with swooping house martins. Wonderfully welcoming hospitality. Crisp bedlinen. Delicious home cooked food. Very generous breakfast with unusual options like French toast. Entrancing log fire for chilly nights. Nothing flashy just genuine comfort.

We stayed as family 4 days. From the property you have fantastic views over the mountains and it is a quiet place. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is fine. Dinner depends on who is cooking. There is lot to see not far away.

We stayed two nights at Tarn Country House during our recent trip from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, and wished we could have stayed longer! Great welcome from Erica on arrival, and the kids head straight for the swimming pool which sits amongst the most amazing panoramic views of the garden route mountain range. Breakfast was delicious, and we booked to stay for dinner our second night and had a delightful experience eating great home cooked food, drinking nice wine, and enjoying the sunset over the hills. Our family lodge was very spacious and bright, and made us feel very much at home. The location is brilliant for those who want to experience Plettenberg Bay and the Tsitsikamma forest nearby. Thanks Erica and team for a great experience, if we are back in the area we will make sure we return to stay at Tarn Guest House!…

Just do it if you love being away from the noise of the city and seeing the beauty of the countryside. The hotel itself is a rustic gem that I hopes never upgrades or changes it decor. Loved the place and couldn't believe the cost. The cooking aint bad either considering it's homemade.

You know when it was great when your stay is far too short. and It was far too short. We stayed two nights with our family of 11. A easy find in the Crags area on the road from Plettenberg Bay to Tsitsikamma National Park. The house is gated. Our accommodation was excellent and the views from outside our room across the surrounding hills were amazing. When we arrived dinner was almost ready. The owner Erica, made sure that everyone was looked after. really,my hospitality heart always wants a Erica in every hotel. We stayed at the end of december and enjoyed swimming pool in the garden. The rooms are great and without any airco. This was not needed because it cools down quite a lot during the evening and night. Our breakfasts were excellent with choices of cereals, fruit and yoghurt and cooked food. as a special act we had some real live baboons walking by. Magnificent creatures. The staff were excellent and the rooms clean with good comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return here and will stay longer…
