From the moment we were greeted by Carmen with a glass of bubbles to the moment of departure three days later, this was the perfect stay. We loved that the management took such care and trouble to help you plan your day. We went horse...More
Absolutely loved this place. Felt so embraced in nature. Loved that the monkeys play around in their natural habitat around you. The view from the pool was stunning. The staff were lovely and the food amazing 😍
The most amazing accomodation, pool and dinning area. Loved everything about this place - from the amazing food (the communal dining is a fabulous way to meet other guest and compare travel stories) bedtime story book and chocolates to the gorgeous pool area and stunning...More
Our visit here was slightly marred by wild fires and smoke but we could tell that under other circumstances this place would be a perfect romantic get away. We had very helpful people recommending hikes and activities, all of which were excellent. The dining was...More

Although we are surrounded by nature, we don't often see snakes at the lodge, they are actually shy creatures and tend to prefer not to be near humans and stay out of your way. However, if you let me know what dates you'll be coming we'll make sure everything is double-checked and we will always have someone on hand to assist if you feel nervous.
Don't let that put you off coming to this amazing country, you are more likely to have your toast stolen by a naughty Vervet monkey on the deck in the morning than see a snake.
I am sure the thought of this will give you the heebie-jeebies, but there is an amazing sanctuary for snakes called Lawnwood, and they have the most remarkable programme where they show you around their facility and they really do put snakes into perspective.
Feel free to contact me directly and we can chat.
I do hope that helps you a little
