We loved it last year and have been thrilled to return again for a 5 nights this year!
Colleen and Clive remain the same fabulous hosts; the property, land, lakes and views are as beautiful as ever .The breakfasts down at the pool in the terrace are as delicious as ever.Time seems to stand still in this most exquisite and relaxing envi
ronment, where you are lulled into gentle tranquillity by birdsong, frogs, insects and breezes through the trees.
Enjoy the Lily ponds and lakes, chat with the owners( who cannot do enough for you and have many interesting and often hilarious stories to tell you.. )
The ambience of the vast garden and the
wonderful, comfortable and spacious
accomodation is like a retreat and
renewal.Whether you come for a night or
several, you will be refreshed and
invigorated.
It has been our privilege and pleasure
to have the stayed here again.
We thank you so much, Colleen and Clive;
and also for letting us share it with our
friends who enjoyed a wonderful late afternoon, fishing, exploring and rounded off an evening of
convivial conversation and a delicious supper.

We had always liked the location of Redford House, but this was our first stay at this scenic property situated on Redford Road, The Crags, east of Plettenberg Bay. We chose the self-catering option, Mrs. Tiggywinkle's Cottage which is within easy reach of the Main House, but offers privacy and space, in a lovely garden setting and one can enjoy the property's Swimming Pool and Pool House and all else. With a comfortable lounge and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms a bathroom with all you needed, plus outside patios and braai facility. The road to it leads off the N2 and is currently being upgraded. in addition to all activities in the area, there are some really fine wine estates in the immediate vicinity, worth visiting, and some good restaurants in the area. Clive Noble was not there at the time of our visit, but his charming wife Colleen ensured we had a happy stay. Convenient, yet away from 'the crowds'!

We ended up at Redford House by chance and it turned out a fantastic discovery.
The location is quite, secluded and peaceful. The property is beatiful and the cottages are very cosy. Clive and Collen are the best hosts you can hope for: charming, interesting, entertaining and efficient.
Wether you spend one day or one week you will not be disappointed. Don't miss it!!!!!

we stayed at the carriage house from 30/1/14 to 26/2/14 during which time we enjoyed 4 days of a shower working reliably.Redford house is some 25 klms from plettenberg and is reach via a road filled with significant pothioles. The hosts colleen and Clive are very likeable which finally made us decide to stay on for the full duration. The location once reached is idyllic but we would suggest 1 week is enough due to price and remoteness. There was no TV and receiving a decent signal to send emails from an iPad was never achieved.

We had a wonderful 2 nights with Colleen & Clive. Redford House is in a stunning country setting only 25/30mins from Plettenberg Bay so made a perfect base (much cosier then anything we saw in "Plett". It was so nice to be able to come back & lounge around the fireplace in the evenings. The rooms are beautifully decorated, large & extremely comfortable. We were travelling with our 8 month old baby & had ample room for a travel cot in our bed room. We stayed in the Noble House which has 2 upstairs bedrooms (with ensuites). Downstairs is a huge lounge area with open fire places, big comfy sofas & lots of interesting books! This area is only shared between the top 2 bedrooms. It was a lovely cosy area to relax & either plan the day or unwind at night. One night we ate dinner with Colleen & Clive, Colleen is an amazing cook and we had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner & conversation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will definately include Redford House on our next trip to South Africa.

Warm house, wonderful warm host and hostess and a beautiful serene environment await you at the lovely Redford house. We were in the big 2 bed roomed house with a large well decorated lung downstairs. I was transported back to happy childhood days spent on family holidays. The views were lovely of the mountains and green land.
The bed big and warm and lovely deep bath with hot water that never ran out.
Sad to leave but will be back to relax and explore the surrounds better.

We stayed for only one night at the Redford House, but wish we had time to stay longer.
The place was such a great surprise!
Collen and Clive, the owners and also residents, are extremely nice and make you feel at home (a very beautiful home, in fact!).
We stayed in the two-floor house.
The decoration of the whole place is of extremely well taste.
Our breakfast was specially prepared for us in a part of theproperty that is separated for events.
Coleen and Clive found time to stay and talk to us. They are very attentious.
I definetely recommend the property.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like we were in another world. Amazing accommodation, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable hosts, sublime views with pristine grounds.
Clive and Colleen are delightful hosts and our breakfasts with them were some of the most memorable of our trip, we felt like we could have chatted with them all day. They made us feel part of the family.
We were given great advice on what to do in the surrounding area and where to go out and dine in the evenings.
The two nights we stayed here we visited Natures Valley and Storms River, both of which could be days out by themselves, if we had more holiday time we could have easily stayed here for a week!
There are so many little things that also contributed to this being a unique experience and I doubt my wife and I will ever forget this place.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Redford House. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the antique-furnished, spacious Guest House with its magnificent surrounding lily ponds, swimming pool and pool house, owls in a large oak Tree, tennis court, walks, views and unlimited nearby places like Nature's Valley,Tsitsikama Forest, beautiful nearby beaches, restaurants and vineyards. So close to Plett and surrounding areas.
Cannot say enough about owners Clive and Colleen Noble who took care so attentively to everything. Exceptional breakfasts and wonderful, entertaining chats with owners and other interesting guests had us excited about what the next breakfast would hold. They catered to our specific needs and went out of their way to find out what we would enjoy to make our stay even more special. The fruit, muesli, honey etc all obtained from neighbouring farms. the staff were friendly and so helpful. Even our car was washed early each morning before we were awake!
The tranquility and natural beauty of this farm-like guesthouse are indescribable.
Rates were so reasonable and affordable.
We stayed for 3 days and wish we could have had a full week or more to really unwind and experience so much more.
Cannot wait to be back.

We can't say enough good things about The Redford House. The hosts, Clive and Colleen are so welcoming, we felt like family by the end of our stay. We had booked the Carriage House, but on arrival we learned we'd be the only ones on property, so they allowed us to stay in The Noble House - it was beyond our expectations. The decor is beautiful, everything feels comfy and cozy. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds are immaculate and they have lots of activities you can do right on property. Great location, close to Plettenberg Bay and Nature's Valley but also secluded, quiet and peaceful. This is one of our favorite places we've ever stayed! We hope to make it back one day. Highly recommend!
