Amazing place! Absolutely beautiful with friendly and incredibly helpful hosts. I would highly recommend the forest bath and outdoor shower. We had such a wonderful time. Will definitely be back again.

Our group did the Otter Trail, and this place was perfect for us in every way. We felt welcomed and at home immediately. The glamping tents and ablutions are very good, the attention to detail, wonderful. The hot jacuzzi is a must, especially after the hike, The Food was simple, but fabulous. The massive bonfire was an unexpected treat, which we sat around for hours. Can't say enough about this wonderful place. And I haven't yet mentioned the sweet dog.

Firefly Falls ~ October 2023! We stayed at the wonderful Firefly Falls prior to and after our 5 day Otter Trail adventure. We were offered a glamping tent facing an enchanting indigenous forest, lit up by fireflies right after the sun sets. We had our own outdoor shower and toilet with a basin outside the tent. We booked their hungry Otter package, which included dinners and breakfasts before and after the Otter trail, as well as transportation to and from the trail. The establishment has their own minibus they use to transport guests. The lapa area has a communal eating area, bar, pool/hot tub, wifi and hammocks. There is also a bathroom with a bath and shower by the forest edge where you can soak in a bath, facing the beautiful forest. The lawn is immaculate and the garden gorgeous. Overall we had a lovely stay, felt safe and welcome at all times and thankful for being taken care of before and after the trail. The meals: A continental breakfast comes standard with the Hungry Otter package, with the option to order extras like bacon and eggs. The continental included juices, milk, coffee and tea. Yoghurt, corn flakes, muesli, 2 slices of toast for each of us and spreads and jams were served. Our first night a braai was organised for us. A fire was lit at a seating area close to our tent and we were provided meat (a pork chop and sausage for me) and veggies (couscous stuffed bell pepper for Chris), garlic bread, mealies and a salad. We braaid the goodies as we watched the fireflies in the distance. The night of our return we were served potjiekos (chicken for me and veggie for Chris), rice, a large garlic bread, plus a large malva pudding and whipped cream. The return night meal was an absolute feast. We struggled to finish the lot. The Pros: The glamping tents have super comfy beds. The tents are expansive, well equipped and include a small fridge, gas burner and kettle along with all the other usual necessities like kitchen utensils. Free wifi by the lapa area. The establishment is very well suited for larger groups of guests. Chase and Dane were very friendly and accommodating. Communication before and throughout our stay was prompt and professional. Both guys (and their staff) were wonderful. Plenty of birds fluttered by and curiously stared at us during our stay, including a stunning loerie. You can take a stroll through the forest that has its own stream and small waterfall. There was a small trickle of water over the waterfall while we were there. Great value of money and takes care of some of your worries before and after the Otter Trail. Nature’s Way, a wonderful local farm stall with fresh produce and baked goodies, is close to the establishment. There are loads of fun adventures and hikes close by! The gas geysers at both bathrooms we used worked very well. The Cons: The accommodation offers several other glamping tents, camping spots, shared seating areas and a lapa in close proximity to your tent. On busy days this could lead to socialising and noise that may annoy more private and peaceful visitors. https://www.fireflyfalls.co.za/about-5

Hi Kobus Thank you for your detailed and in depth review for our guest to follow. You win the prize for the most detailed review ever I believe ☺️ From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for this review as it can only help future visitors. As to possible cons of the venue, we do try and control noice levels, and dont allow music unless a group has booked the place exclusively. We do hope to see you again in the futre. Best wishes to you and Chris. Regards, Chase and the Firefly Team

What an absolute treat to stay at Firefly Falls. We thoroughly enjoyed the well thought out design of the Safari Cabin and the morning view overlooking the valley with the tent rolled up in front of our bed was certainly the highlight. Thank you to Chase and co. for having us!

We had a very pleasant stay at Firefly falls! The gardens are spectacularly beautiful with large green lawns. This contributed to a soothing and relaxing feeling in one's spirit. We spend some time in the hot pool underneath the Lapa and made use of the communal kitchen with had all the cutlery and cooking essentials needed to prepare meals. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, certain to return!

We really loved our stay at Firefly falls. What a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Our favorite was taking a walk down to the waterfall, and watching the fireflies at night. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The most perfect spot to get away from everything and connect with nature. The most friendly and helpful hosts. Close to all the most amazing beaches and hikes while still being secluded enough to make you feel like you're far away from everything. Highly recommend for anyone that needs a break from the rat race of life and wants to reconnect with nature. Can't wait to go back!

The hosts are awesome, made sure we were comfortable in the bad weather. The jacuzzi was clean and hot. Resident rain spider in the forest shower was very friendly. You will see us again soon, an amazing space to meet your neighbour.

Family run, beautiful guest farm. I camped there and it was lovely, but they also have fantastic glamping tents and a whole range of accommodation. Excellent value if you're planning to do the Otter, as they take care of all logistics such as shuttles, and you can safely leave your car there. The family run a tight ship and everything is nicely taken care of. There are dogs and kids playing happily on the huge lawn and beautiful nut trees. They even throw in an epsom salts jacuzzi for muscle-sore hikers returning from the Otter. Epic stay, I'll be back.
