Detailed Reviews
Set in a glorious, butterfly-filled garden, with mountains views, the immaculately clean house was so homely, with a well-stocked kitchen providing every amenity imaginable. A proper home from home. Ilze is a most generous, and attentive host. She was so welcoming and checked up on us daily. Her beautiful farmstead is a tribute to her incredible hard work and commitment to the natural environment.
Load shedding was no real problem as portable LED lights were provided & cooking was with gas.
The farm stall across the road provides daily, farm-fresh supplies, as well as delicious coffee, breakfast & lunch. Laundry facilities are available at the neighbouring campsite. The location was within easy access to Natures Valley & only 20 minutes’ drive to Plett. Very highly recommended!

Four Fields Farms is immensely good value, located in a peaceful area far from the madding crowd. Ilze is always readily available and willing to assist with things.

This place is something very special. Ilze, the host, has so much passion for the area and has the most beautiful garden. I got upgraded to the Farm House which was huge and very comfortable. Nice grass around to relax on, horses, a herb garden, and a cute market just down the road. But special thanks to Ilze who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Since I didn’t have a car, she gave me a lot of information on how to get around the area, asked if I needed anything from town, and generally just made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I had a late pick-up and she let me use one of the other rooms while I waited, even providing tea, hot chocolate and snacks during this time! The other guests were lovely too – it’s a happy place, you will not regret staying here.

Stunning accommodation with the most beautiful and tranquil garden space. I loved all the small touches - chocolates, fresh flowers, filtered water etc. Else was also very friendly and accommodating and checked in on us while we were completing the Otter Trail.

Our host Ilze was extremely friendly, helpful and gave us tips and extra information about what to do and see. We had a garden appartement with large, well equiped kitchen, two bedrooms and a wonderfull garden. The accommodation is very quiet in beautiful surroundings. The two staff members were also very helpful and accommodating.
We would have liked to stay longer. 100% recommendation!

Spent 10 days over Christmas at Four Fields Farm. Felt myself relax as soon as we arrived. Such beautiful surroundings, the children loved feeding Maggie and Lilly (the 2 horses), the farm cat, and watching the birds on the bird feeder in our very private garden space. Ilze is a fabulous host and was always on hand in case we needed anything. Felt extremely safe and so peaceful. Having the farm shop just across the road was great, and only a 10 minute drive down to Nature's Valley beach.

We recently had 3 nights at this accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed the laidback atmosphere. Ilze had thought of everything regarding amenities in our 2 bedroomed cottage and made sure we were comfortable and contented guests. Plenty of places to visit in the area. Perfect for a family break.

We found Four Fields farm a perfect place to unwind after a busy 2022. The farm is perfectly situated in the heart of the spectacular Garden Route allowing one to enjoy and explore Natures valley, Keerbooms and the Crags. Hiking, kayaking, restaurants, wine farms, craft shops and kids entertainment places are close by. The farm offers beautiful views of the Tsitsikamma mountains - and the gardens are really beautiful - we enjoyed a braaiing in the amazing garden and watching all the birdlife. There is a lovely farm stall in walking distance with all you need. Accommodation lacks nothing and is super comfortable. Attention to detail and the little extras every day in our rooms was amazing. Thanks to Ilse and her happy team for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Garden Cottage for a long weekend away. What a perfect place for a couple, with room for more people if desired. The kitchen was really well equipped and not missing anything you could want. Lovely spot to braai outside with a gorgeous view of the friendly horses. Lots of little extras that we were not even expecting. Ilze is lovely and a great host. I would definitely recommend this spot for a weekend away. Lovely little farm stall close by. Near to Nature's Valley, where there are great hikes. I don't know why I hadn't heard of this place before - it's great!
