Detailed Reviews
We booked to stay at the guest house having booked an all day keepers event at the sanctuary so this review is about both elements. I can't recommend high enough for people to repeat our experience. Our guide for the day was Dumasini who was Fabulous. He was so passionate about the wonderful elephants as were all the keepers and carers. Thank you guys for an unforgettable day. Then we were greeted by Landi who showed us to our wonderful room after breakfast. It was our 10th night and by far the best night's sleep. Again greeted by Landi the following morning who couldn't do enough for us. Thank you ALL for a fabulous experience.

Well worth a visit, lovely rooms and fabulous staff. We had a fabulous day with the Elephants, they have a huge male called Taba who comes to you when you call him. Our guide was Lloyd who made our trip very special.

The Elephant Country Guest House is awesomely situated between rolling beautiful green hills, in the mid of nature.
Everyone and the ambiance of the place is most welcoming, relaxing, clean just beautiful. The breakfast was good, staff extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding area and most informative about the elephants. Pretty close by is the Mohair factory shop with its goats and other craft shops + restaurant with a good vibe, unfortunately it all closes by 5pm. There ar no other restaurants close by for evening dinner, but if you would like to order the staff will do that for you. We took a drive to Plettenberg Bay for the evening dinner. Totally enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Fantastic to be able to stay right next door to the elephant sanctuary, perfect views, rooms very comfortable and clean, what made our visit so special was the staff, welcoming, polite, nothing was too much of a problem, always smiling.. The staff at the elephant sanctuary itself were fantastic and I have reviewed them separately but we would also like to say a big thank you to the girl who checked us in, cleaned our room, cooked our breakfast, what a lovely girl and so helpful.. We will be sad to leave such a great place.. Keep up the fantastic work guys.. Karen and Mark 😘
