Self Catering accomodation - our unit had 2 bedrooms, lovely little kitchen, lounge and bathroom.

The unit has everything you need and only a short drive from Plett. We attending a wedding 2mins from the accomodation on Saturday evening so it was perfectly situated.

There is a stunning little vintage coffee shop up the road with everything you need.

Gravel road to get to the accomodation isnt to bad and the gentleman that booked us in was very friendly.

The accomodation has such an amazing view and we felt right at home.

Nice lodge with splendid view on the Tsitsakama mountains and Formoza top. Also a glimps of the Sea.
Excellent beds and shower. Top breakfast.
With possible braai selfcatered or on demand.
Situated away from main road. Very peacefull.
Lameck and Merci (both Malawian) take care of all your needs.

African Crags Lodge sits in the middle of the hills with several bungalows, which can be rented. The hotel is fairly new (operating since end of 2016) that´s why all bungalows are in very good shape and are well equipped. It´s also the reason why there are so little reviews available for this venue. We stayed in the main bungalow which shares a living and breakfast room and the kitchen with the other guests. We liked the quietness and remoteness of the place. However, be prepared to either drive a long way for dinner (about 30 minutes) or cook the meal yourself.

The bungalows have a great view into the mountain landscape. If weather allows breakfast will be served on the terrace directly in the mountains. The breakfast is basic. For other self catering you may even rent the braai for some bbq.

We had a good sleep and a good time here. Wifi is available in the main bungalow, so try to get just one of the rooms in the main bungalow if you need to stay connected to the outside world.

I had made this booking during lock down. As it was quite cheap, I didn't mind forfeiting the money if restrictions were not lifted to allow travel. As a health care worker, I needed something to look forward to after not having a break for 9 months. I was informed the day before arrival that there was a change in ownership and that I had to either pay twice as much for my booking or make alternative arrangements. I was informed this was the fault of booking.com, denied the contact details of the previous owner and given instructions on how the onus rested on me to make the cancellation and chase a refund! Clearly we are not all "in this together"! Needless to say, I cannot comment on the property...

If you are looking for a relaxing stay with no worries, look no further. African Crags Eco-Lodge is the place to be. Marc and Lameck really looked after every aspect of our short-stay. The cottage was lovely with a very comfortable beds. We really couldn't have asked for more! The Lodge itself have a magnificent mountain views. Could have stayed longer but we had to rush back to work.
