It's a difficult review to write. We booked the honeymoon suite and it was as good as it looked in the photo's and reviews. It really was a treat to sleep out in the forest surrounded only by glass. We kept the outside light on and the frogs serenaded us beautifully all night long. We were fortunate enough to have rain which was simply awesome to watch and hear while our indoor fire kept us warm all night long. We also booked the Spa room which was another treat so from that side we were very happy. The part we found odd was that there is no guest loo so if you are eating supper you have to go all the way back to your room if all the rooms are full. The kitchen has no extractor fan and is slap bang in the middle of the lounge area. We found this very strange, but Management assured us that they had been running since 2005 and we were the first to bring this matter up - you decide when you go there. The lodge lounge area is locked up at night so if you had a problem you would need to wait till the morning to discuss it with anyone. It would have felt better if we had a telephone number to call in case of emergency.

Not only were all the staff beyond helpful, the room was incredible and the food was delicious!! We had the honeymoon suite which was amazing, like a glass round-house in the middle of the forest.. log burner, bed and wonderful view.. at night, if you leave the light on to the forest on to attract winged things, you might be lucky enough to witness an owl come for evening snacks like we did... Oh it was just beautiful. Staying in for dinner is yummy and breakfasts, equally yummy... honestly, this place is so small, so perfectly formed...It even has it's own mini wild cat! which loves cuddles and strokes.. Honestly, just book it!

I took my daughter on a road trip and she wanted to visit a spa. I found Trogon online and we made our booking. It was the final day on our trip and it was a super way to end our trip. There is absolutely nothing spared to make any persons stay something to remember. Every single staff member is customer focused and friendly. They tailor your stay around your needs and treat you like you are their only guest. I would highly recommend this establishment for couples and will be back with my wife for sure! We indulged in the spa treatment and it was truly a memorable experience, since it was me and my daughter the staff was very attentive to our privacy and it was a comfortable experience, something I was a little worried about. The rooms are luxurious and nothing was spared. The fact that the rooms overlook the forest and you feel like you are part of it was also something special. At night we could see fireflies through the windows in the forest. It given this place a magical feel. Don’t miss out on this very hidden gem for your next stay.

Quaint, cozy and luxurious! This forest hotel was our final stop on our holiday and was perfect. The rooms are immaculate, the facilities cozy and the staff Ingrid, Bruce, wonderful and Enrique couldn’t do enough for you. We were lucky to have arrived in the sunshine and to make use of the pool but the weather changes quickly and for our second day it rained. The thing is it doesn’t matter, you have sun loungers and a pool when it’s sunny and they light fires and it becomes a cozy home from home when it’s cold! There is nothing in walking distance so prepare to relax. They do a 3 course dinner in the hotel which I highly recommend, Bruce is an amazing chef! Breakfast is great too! Couldn’t rate this place highly enough!! I recommend Room 5 (the honeymoon suite) and Room 1 (by the pool). Thank you Trogon House!!!!
