Detailed Reviews
Stayed at Safari Park during December 2019 for one night while travelling between Joburg and Cape Town and was pleasant surprise. The accommodation was sprinkling clean, very comfortable beds, well equipt and the treatment upon arrival was extremely friendly. Definately will recommend it for travelers that needs overnight accommodation on a farming setup.

We booked a few chalets at the farm. We had a few problems but the staff went out of their way to help us. The owner died in a velt fire a September that he helped to extinguish. We had a ball. The previous owners brother has taken over on the 1st of January. He is already fixing everything to bring the farm what it was before the accident. Lovely people and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.

Friendly hosts. Lovely place with lots of peace and quiet. Far enough from the N1 so that the traffic does not bother you at night. Luxury tent with all you need, clean bedding, fridge, kettle and coffe/milk/sugar and nice hot shower. Off road to tent is bit rough, especially for a low sedan car, but is drivable. Can definately recommend this place. Money's worth!

Location is next to N1, so a little noisy at night, but the room fan is very good and blotted out most of the noise. The room was comfortable and there's a small pool to cool off in and a lovely garden to sit in. Safe parking and very friendly helpful hosts.

We only needed a place to stay over on the way to Cape Town from Durban on Christmas eve. After searching extensively, we stumbled on to this nice little place. The communication from Su-Mari was good and Fanie was very friendly.
The room had all we needed and it was nice and quiet. The pool was very refreshing.

The cottages are comfortable & basically equipped including an electric blanket to keep you warm. If you are not used to traffic noise, then the location just off the main route may keep you from much needed sleep.

+1
The new owners are so helpful, our tented camp was fabulous and the dogs love sniffling around for interesting things. We love the proximity to the highway. A last bit of magic to finish the holiday or the perfect start to a roadtrip and only 25kms from Colesberg

This is not a Safari Park, but merely a road side stop. Correspondence with out host was efficient and friendly. Although our host was not available on arrival, his family quickly resolved the issue we had by providing the extra bed we had agreed upon. , The room we stayed was comfortable but did suffer from road noise, being so close to the N1 highway. The swimming pool was Ice cold, because it was filled with bore-hole water, but this was still welcome on a very hot day.

Sadly not a good place for an overnight stop. We had room 4 which had an interleading door into the adjacent unit - noise comes through from other occupants.
Arrived at 4.50 pm and no-one at reception - had to phone the cell number on the door. Young girl came and we asked her about meals and she had no idea what we could have and told us to phone JP and ask. Although unit was clean and bed comfortable it was bleak. Very dirty and unkept around the braai area - used earbuds, cigarette butts and beer caps. The table at the braai I would not put my food on it. The only chairs were rough home-made and soo uncomfortable to sit on. TV - remote would not work and had to try manual but sound so bad could not hear and TV so dark we could not even see the programmes. Fans were old and so noisy as a light sleeper it was awful - without the fans on one would die of heat.
We had considered booking a campsite - thank goodness we didn't as awful setting right outside the rooms.
We have stayed a number of times at River Destiny and Raptor Ridge but sadly were full. What a pity as Safari Park was dismal - bad choice by us.
