While we were touring the Ardeche region, we discovered this cute Hotel Restaurant and decided to have lunch. It was pleasant with a very welcoming staff and an elaborate menu containing many dishes from the local region. One item that caught my eye was veloute de chataigne d’ardache (a creamy soup made with chestnuts) which was delightful. My friend Benoit ordered cotelettes d’agneau (lamb cutlets served with an eggplant ratatouille), and I had a beef sirloin accompanied by potatoes au gratin. Good job Le Cedre, and next time we will try your very appealing buffet.

Stayed at this hotel late August for 4 days as part of a motorbike tour The gates of the hotel are locked at night so security is very good The rooms are light and airy and could do with an update but they were very clean The food was average but plentiful and the swimming pool was wonderful I really enjoyed my stay and would return again

A strange hotel, it has no character and is dated. The large garden and excellent pool was full of screaming children and had the feel of a campsite pool. The restaurant was laid out like an institution dining room not a restaurant. However we ate outside on the terrace and had a good meal with excellent service. Our room was large, roomy and clean and well furnished. We wouldn't stay again because of the overall feel but we got the impression that others were having a holiday here. We did walk up into the old town which was well worth a visit with its narrow streets.

Cut our stay from 3 nights to 1. This place is cross between an old sitcom in a British holiday place and a rehabilitation hospital. The stairs to the loft section of the room were hazardous. The beds tiny and sagging. Couldn't wait to leave -- spend most of our time there booking accommodation elsewhere for the next two nights.

This place does everything is advertises, clean, tidy, does the job. However it is very dated, and the place could really use a redo. The beds were very short, so for anyone over 5ft 9/ 170 cm it was a bit squishy and forced you into a set position for the night if you didn't want your feet hanging over the end. We had a 4 person bedroom and shared it with some friends. The stairs were a giant let down, as anytime you needed to pee, massive creaking that woke up everyone. Not good. The actual place is very clean and tidy, furniture is ancient but well kept. Location is very nice, and it has ample parking. Didn't get a chance to try the pool or restaurant but both looked nice. My only gripe is that for 23 EU p/p as it worked out, I would expect quite a bit more, but this was barely above hostel standard. 1 star would be more appropriate rating for this hotel.
