Our friend from the UK was blown away with the lodge, staff and our ranger [Agathe]. Food was wonderful and animal viewing great. We are frequent visitors to the lodge and we enjoy the experience each year we are there. Our ranger, Agathe, was a wonderful guide and was diligent in finding us ellies and lion. We wish her well.

How wonderful to be back in the bush! Rhino River Lodge never disappoints; there is just enough personal service without being cloying; good food without having to think about the extra kilos; exciting game drives with Big 5 but also insight into the many interesting bits of information and creatures that make up a diverse environment. The rooms are big and comfy and the drive not too far.

Very comfortable, facilities excellent and the staff even better. In addition I have been traveling to Southern Africa (various countries) for nearly 40 years and never seen cheetah in the wild. My friends told this to our guide, Stewart and what did he do? Found them on first drive!! My African experience is now complete!!!

I stayed at Rhino River Lodge with some friends last week. We did four game drives with Agathe, and saw an incredible amount of wildlife. Nothing is a guarantee on safari, but saw a female cheetah with three almost grown cubs. Agathe worked with us to ensure we all were able to take plenty of pictures. We also were very close to several lions and hyenas. The restaurant and rooms at the lodge were excellent. We had great food for every meal. The staff all remembered I usually drink decaf coffee and brought a french press specifically for me. The manager, Layne, was also i credible friendly and helpful. I hope to come back in the future.

Spent a fatastic 3 days at Rhino River Lodge. The staff were very helpful and supportive and Steve (our guide) was a star both from his knowledge of the area and animals but also the way he looked after our family while out on the drives. The facilities were superb and the overall experience was memorable. I would highly recommend this reserve to anybody wishing to spend a few days in the bush.

Authentic bush experience - a great experience without the fuss and frills which makes it affordable but still memorable. Best part was the friendliness and competence of the staff and rangers. Some great game sightings despite challenging weather conditions. I’d highly recommend this lodge as great value for money.

Lovely lodge in beautiful setting. Small-sized so very personal. Our lodge was just as on the website photos, spacious, stylish, clean. The general areas were equally as beautiful with wooden decks to sit on & see the animals & enjoy nature. The staff were helpful & the food good. We had a wonderful ranger that did her best to make our game drives memorable.

We were made so welcome by the Rhino River Lodge team upon arrival staying in the Cottage accommodation. The facilities were fabulous and the food options wide ranging. We attended game drive every morning and every night and thanks to the exceptional skills of our guide Stuart, we saw the big five - absolutely thrilled. A highlight was the campfire every night and let's not forget the morning rangers coffee! We would highly recommend the lodge for its animals and a high calibre experience that we will never forget!
