After nearly 10yrs together we finally tied the knot at Bayete Zulu. We originally visited Bayete for the elephant interaction and when we saw it we knew it was the place where we wanted to get married. The staff were amazingly accommodating and went out of the way over the weekend to look after us and our guests. When we were there we didn't find the rooms tired or unloved. It should be noted that this is self catering accommodation so don't expect room service but if you bring the food the ladies in the kitchen will look after you!

my family from Australia and I from SA visited Bayete Zulu in September, and just loved the experience, the elephant interaction was awe inspiring, but loved the lodge, rooms, pool, views, the lodge is not 5 * and several things need fixing, but to have accommodation, someone to cook for you, and 2 game drives a day, where do you get value like that? Julian our guide, extremely knowledgeable, very patient with kids questions, very helpful, cannot recommend this game experience enough

Even though we did not stay at Bayete Zulu Lodge, we were fortunate enough to attend the elephant interaction. The experience was out of this world, how humbling to be able to touch and interact personally with these huge, intelligent elephants. For me this was the highlight of my trip to Hluhluwe. The 9km of gravel road leading to Bayete Zulu was tricky and not the best but the experience far outweighed the negatives of a bumpy ride. A MUST SEE IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA!

Was privileged enough to visit Bayete Game Reserve for #BloggersAtBayete. I can not think of one thing that was not perfect about my stay here. It was my first game reserve experience and it's one I will never forget. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Incredibly well decorated, the open shower and HUGE bath is a plus. The game drives were unforgettable and the vehicles were very comfortable. We had the best ranger (Graham) and he was so friendly and knowledgeable. He ensured we saw as many animals as possible and told us so much about each individual species. I saw every kind of animal I wanted to see - from hippos to giraffes and even lions. All I can say is - can I go back now?? Would love to spend every holiday here!! It's worth every cent and everything far surpassed
